That's kind of shallow. The song does fit the theme of MLP but it doesn't need to mention friendship. Most Song in MLP don't mention friendship ALL the time. This song is about getting out and experiencing life one of at step at a time and being yourself. Which is what MLP does teach.

***** The theme of MLP is not just about how to overcome the difficulties in life, but what friends can help when getting through all the hardships. This song does have a point of "life is not simple", but it doesn't mention the purpose of friendship in life at all.

野龍 Is every lesson in MLP about friendship? No...not really. They've been a central focus of the show IS friendships and life lessons and morals. But I do at least thing there has been at least ONE TIME where Friendship hasn't been the central focus. Actaully, accepting yourself is apart of what the show is teaching. By accepting yourself, your friends can follow your example. Even still to limit it to "it doesn't mention friendship therefore it doesn't fit to the theme of the show" is shallow. Because it DOES fit, but it fitting to the show's other theme which is to teaching you to love yourself and your friends. Hence "life is beautiful."

***** I'm not saying that the song should shout out friendship or something like that, but the song is all about what you can do yourself. And for the "is every lesson in MLP about friendship" thing, well, even when it's not about friendship, there's no lesson I can remember that is story of one. So... Not saying that this song is bad (actually, I think it's beautiful), but I just don't like that it didn't mention the fact that "we are not alone" at all.
