A wise monk once told me that for some people, it is only when a mosquito lands on their nuts that they learn the value of precision over power. These monks and their tree arms are cool. I like the element of tragedy to them.

now this is what we are talking about fine telling of the lore and i have a question shouldn't women or girls be respected more in this village or it can be like that small girls aren't cursed as the original sacrificed girls don't want other girls to

Actually villagers never wanted to girls got sacrificed but group of people with the crazy old man forced them to do such a thing. Cursed thing was the seed they burried with the girls. Cursed with sorrow of 12 girls. But later on spirit of the girls forgave them because their sacrifice wouldn’t go in vain. Water give the curse to the villagers but the essence (as a gift from the girls) saved them. Except the old man. On the respect side after this event all of them become one for the one purpose so there is no discrimination or hierarchy between them anymore. Hope this clears more the questions!

@@TalesofLost I am not saying there has to be discrimination and hierarchy the word monk already eliminates it what i was saying is that after that incident the villagers would give girls more respect and authority not in the form of a position or anything. just in their mind subconsciously they think that it because of those 12 girls they live so they give attention and importance to girls more in the village. you see the thing that people believe in determines what the hold important. for example= a tribe that believe in a male god would held male important as they can hunt and all more then female but a tribe believing in a female god holds female important as they think she is the mother important in giving birth and caring for you. i am just saying this because sometimes these type of things can make a significant change and enrich the lore well your idea is good and i appreciate if you continue i can say so because i too am currently world building and am stuke on this religion and differentiation part.😮‍💨🙄

Just the spirits became important but not living girls. It’s not a religion for them just a new purpose and something to rely on because if they don’t they basically dies because of the branches. So no gods no religion no differences between age and gender.

​@TalesofLost Nor am I thinking it's a religion or cult or anything that was just an example for easier understanding I think my meaning is not getting to you fully In the first comment I wanted to ask you what the villagers would think towards girls After the 12 girls have done to them Shouldn't they subconsciously respect girls more they are not telling anyone to do this but everything knows. I was just thinking from the villagers view. what would their view of girls be after that?? I apologise if I don't even understand your idea then am telling ya something unrelated.
