Basically this is like prison to her. Punitive prison, not reformative. Every single study shows that a child lacking patently affection and some degree of kindness and empathy will develop poorly. At best she’s going to never understand why she was abandoned and nurse a grudge. Then, in 10 years’ time, she can make her own post about how her parents sent her away to birding school when she was a child because of their own incompetence in raising her.

The pain in your heart doesn’t go away, you just find a way to live with it. Your sister sounds like a real piece of work! She needs more than boarding school though.
