She is so jealous of Leah that she can't stand it and is causing her to have delusions and is making up reasons to distance herself. She is making Leah hate her. She needs some serious mental help and not from the person who blamed it all on OP's previous relationship. She was acting like she had cheated with everything she did. I still wouldn't rule it out. She needs to stay off social media and her friend who said soulmates only save themselves for their soulmate is not a friend. She started this whole thing. She never should've said that and it's not true. What if soulmates never find each other? Are they just supposed to be alone for their whole lives? What if they thought someone else was their soulmate first but they turned out not to be? We can't all be Monks until we are absolutely positive we've met our soulmate....what if soulmates don't even exist and it's just something someone made up because they loved their mate so much? I'm 58 years old and never found my soulmate but I wasn't about to stay celibate waiting for someone I might never find or who might not even exist. I have two children with a man who was definitely not my soulmate but they wouldn't exist if I had waited to find my soulmate. This woman was completely ridiculous!!!! NTA

The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalised

Dude, I get the energy, but save it for a situation that calls for it. Nothing justidies the wifes behavior, but just like in everything else, context is key, especially when trying to explain the behavior. The wife herself was being constantly emotionally abused by both that friend, that one therapist at the beginning, and herself. She took it out on OP because she was afraid, and Leah wasnt helping either by being the average kid when there is a new baby in the family.

Pregnancy hormones are NOT a fantasy. Yes, her actions were abusive, but her own mindset was extremely conflicted. Everyone took responsibility for what happened and sought a solution. Yes, outside help was needed but counseling is healthy for a relationship.

The "friend" is just a cynical a-hole, you can't tell who you will love from the get go, or if that person will love you, soulmates are just people who are good for each other, and work together, if I look at a bolt and take the wrong wrench size at first it doesn't mean that I can't ever go get the right one, one that's to large might still work even if both the bold and the tool will get a big damaged, doesn't mean you did something wrong, if you get the right one instead after trying, it still doesn't mean you're wrong. Yes the wife is likely VERY hormonal, which explains the mood, but she still needs to work it out.

This sounds kinda ridiculous Not that it's wrong to feel jealous or insecure about not being your partner's first love, but the fact that there wasn't an issue with it until OP's wife got pregnant. Like it just doesn't make sense Everything was perfectly okay and the wife even seemed to see Leah as her own child, up until she got pregnant with her one herself. The only explanation I can possibly think of is that there was always a small feeling of resentment and insecurity in the wife but that it was so negligible that she didn't even realize she had those feelings until they were amplified by her pregnancy If those feelings weren't there in some form since the beginning then it doesn't make sense for them to suddenly manifest just because of the pregnancy alone, there had to have been an underlying issue before it got to that extreme In fact the post seems to imply that there was, The wife's explanation included that she had Told herself that it wasn't a big deal and that she'd be okay with the change, the fact that she had to think about it so much and try to reassure herself implies that there was already feelings of doubt at that point

@loudandnerdygames59863 ай бұрын
She needs a new therapist and a new friend. The therapist justified the pregnant mom distancing herself from her husband. If it wasn't for the woman's father insisting on being a man and confronting his wife, they would be divorced thanks to the therapist, her pregnancy brain and that friend. That friend probably bitter and single. That man did all the right things and had a reason to blow up at her and was big enough to try and make things right. OP isn't at fault here. Everyone, but OP, Leah, and the wife's father, are at fault. She needs real therapy if she think calling your 'soulmate' a sperm donor and wishing your daughter from your first marriage never existed is going to make him feel goeey about a baby with her.
@LostGirl042 ай бұрын
I don't think the therapist justified it. Based on what we have, the therapist only explained it. An explanation for a behavior is one thing, justifying it is another. The therapist explained it, the wife (disingenuously) used that explanation as a justification.

Women are very easily and heavily influenced by their friends especially their female friends (and agian even more so by old friends).
