It's funny because it was always meant to come out in 2024, but ever since the Kickstarter demo in 2022, they've just edited the number of the current year over the 2022, and have stuck with that gag for all the demos and now even up to release.

Since Chat is bad at explaining things. "Micro Mike" is a game in Action 52. The flavor text "If only Micro Mike would slow the blast down" is a reference to the AVGN review of Action 52. Also it does seem pretty silly to not want your backer character to get blasted. Just means you get an extra sprite if you ask me lmao.

1:48:06 i think the screen shake in this game is generally fine but HOLY SHIT jewel ghoul's screen shake made it impossible for me to figure out what the hell he was actually doing. i didn't even figure out what a SINGLE move of his was the entire fight when i was playing because i couldn't make out what any of them were and this is the first time i'm actually seeing 'oh, when he does that one goofy face, he's summoning a minecart' or 'oh, the card thing is an actual attack that can hit you'

dpad vs analogue: analogue for general movement, dpad for precision. that's my take on it anyway, since too much dpad usage hurts my thumb, and sometimes the analogue stick doesnt offer enough precision for a given segment of platforming.
