Very skeptical at first about the hostess but then I remembered something about Noxious' wife being in pain, so I reckoned he couldn't be there to host. Guess one has to give credit to that Cora lass for her bravery taking up the post despite knowing that people are probably gonna rage about Noxious' absence. She did it very well in a professional way, but she lacked that relaxing energy that Noxious brings with his easy laugh and chill demeanor. Very happy about a new episode nonetheless.

Noxious not hosting had more to do with him not playing HS at all anymore and being 100% on MTGA. I thought Cora did well especially for her first time ... she's a pro with all her experience hosting and casting.

@@streamershowdown Thanks for your reply! I didn't mean at all to patronize, just wanted to put in some constructive criticism and subjective feedback. I absolutely agree that she did a good job, I said so much myself. It's just that I personally consider the showdowns to be like homey meet-ups with friends over a beer and less like a "real" competition. I don't know, to me it felt a bit tense and strict, unlike the usual easy atmosphere. But that's not necessarily worse or better, just different.

I never really had a problem understanding the games, but previous host sometimes seem to stumble on the saying the rules, Cora nailed it though. I also enjoyed her humor throughout the show.

Toast got his start with infograpics and well produced videos. Most of the streamers have been brought in repeatedly for their name, not their ability. I think you need to consider pulling in contenders who have a chance of beating him. They might not be the biggest names, but the popular streamers really don't stand a chance.

Cora was like she's hosting a tv show with the "always has to say something positive/reassuring but not really meaning it, but still gotta say it". She felt a bit uptight and forced happy. Overall it was okay, announcing the games was pretty clear (maybe the first time on streamer showdown) and understandable and because of it there were pretty much no complications on the show.

I really loved Chris in the show :'D even though he was not that good in the games he was really funny and brought a lot to the show imo :) On second thought though, he did well. "You're not even playing yogg in wild" Actually, there are decks still that people rank pretty highly with, different deck than 2016, uses some better cards, but Yogg is definitely in it, and used in it. And it makes a ton of highlight plays since it's a card that you only play on the turn before you die, to hope to do a full reversal.

Definately keep Cora as the host, she is natural and fluent unlike previous guys. She doesnt need to look for info, no dead air. (ok noxious is awesome as well!) But you got to make it a bigger competition. Toas really is amazing but not godlike like his opponents make him be, its not fun when u know the winner 1/3 game thru. THEY ARE SO MUCH SLOWER, DONT REMEMBER NAMES OF EVERYDAY CARDS, playing the 'i lost haha dumb me' after first 2 min of the game...please....

After writing for about 10 of these now, we try to veer on the side of easy than hard since we've found it can be really hard for alot ppl we've had on the show. Stumping them is the worst case scenario for us. I'm happy to hear you've caught on very well though. There will be a benefit to this in something we've got coming up in a couple months. :)
