Great video Donny! I was worried that the earlier start would ruin opening ceremonies but since opening ceremonies have been awful for years I doubt it will make any difference. As I said in the video, to fit the live TV broadcast schedule, its much easier to get a 3pm slot than a primetime slot. But also they tend to put the colder climate outdoor races (like Philly, New York, etc) during the day to help in case the weather ends up being cold or wet, at least 3pm is a bit warmer than when the sun goes down.

People are wanting to watch it and get on with their day. Should never be a late night deal. Too much traffic to deal with in the dark, let the racers see a day time track with out so much energy lost during ridiculous night time shows.. We didn't watch it at night, we would watch it in the morning, so a Peacock sub was a waste money. It's Saturday, should be earlier starts than this one.
