I think a big part of why he spiked after getting Sterak, is that it gives 30% tenacity with the shield. Tenacity seems like the true stat that Briar should be stacking.

True and I honestly think running both the Legend: Tenacity and Unflinching runes is an absolute must for her since she's way, way, waay too susceptible to CC, even more so than Master Yi who's got a rep for being easily shutdown even when ahead as long as you have stuns/snares/ taunts. But unlike Briar, let's not even mention the fact that he's immune to slows during Highlander, he still has ways of avoiding being hit by CC due to his Ults MS and Q Alpha Strike/Alpha Strike resets on kill or assist. Briar on the other hand single-mindedly runs on a straight line all the while not having full control over her when using W or Ult, she literally needs to be able to run it down to go online. Which why I think stacking as much tenacity as you can on her is extremely worthwhile, I'm also advocating that Silvermere Dawn should be a core item for her just so you have that extra safety net from being CC'd.

Nah, he just finished spirit visage, and lucian stopped grouping all game long. HE was a 10k hp tank with 150 armor that healed 2 to 3k per E push(mundo ult on basic move style) and so he just kinda never got punished. Zyra and lux simply cannot(well they can but chose not to build for it ) do 10k bursts. They simply don't have the power to kill him in a REASONABLE time, and j4 cannot peel for them. So he simply kept winning vs those 3, and those 3 alone challenged him. When lucian started firing back with lux and zyra cc, he started getting rekt(he was just too strong and they refused to build against him). So he just over took the game. Strak's 8k hp shield helps stall for his 4k hp heal on E also. And stops the tower inting. But the MR and increased % was what broke it.

He literally 4v1 (maybe 4v2) turret dove them after finishing spirit visage. Lucian just gave up and spent all game splitting. Thats all that really went down after spirit visage. YThe lux went from doing 60% hp, to doing 30% and she couldn't combo again for a few seconds. Her and zyra no longer could combo + cc lock him to threat of death. I feel like movement speed items and runes would be spectacular on her so she can outrun her prey and only champions with dashes can escape. Also some tenacity. I also actually think that mid Briar could be good, especially if you're laning vs a hard pusher. You could easily R to top or even jungle if your jungler invades or is invade-able.

Infinity might actually be a good item for her. You get ad for passive, and I think her second activation of w counts as a crit meaning it is amped by crit damage. She also has a ton of ad and as meaning crit chance is pretty good on her. In fact, a crit ad build might be viable on her.

Her W2 is not an actual crit, just uses the icon in the damage popup ('cosmetic crit'). Aatrox Q sweetspots, Karthus/Morde isolated Q's, etc. all have the same thing, they're not affected by IE unless they're specifically described to crit in the textbox (like Rengar/Shaco Q). EDIT: noticed the W doesn't have the crit icon either, but her E knockback wall damage does (also a cosmetic crit)!

Briar loves Swifties. By far the best boots on her in general. She needs to get onto and stay on her targets. Helps get out of turret situations too. Her ult is a really good epic monster steal/engage tool too. AoE fear, hard to kill, can stun against walls, and you can still smite.

You have two ways of altering or ending the frenzy. When in W frenzy you can either Q a non-champion to make Briar not prioritize champions. The other way works for both W frenzy and R frenzy and that's casting E.

a possible change for her is when in w her E is always off cd ... so u can use it whenever ur in frenzy... or mike that skill generally unavailable if not in frenzy but give her a passive that when killing an enemy while in w/r frenzy gives her stacks of bloodlust :D or when she didnt kill a champ for given time he gets bloodlust empowering her frenzy and when she gets a kill she looses the empowered frenzy after 10seconds (+5 seconds on additional kills) but gets stacks of AD/AS/MS when killing enemys while empowered by bloodlust :D

evenshroud can trigger from her q stun or radiant virtue because her healing amp. i think the best three items to rush would be rageblade then deaths dance then thornmail. tabis as the boots. i think deaths dance is interesting since the longer shes alive the higher she can stack her dmg and healing passive. the last items could be spirit visage and wits end

Heartsteel is fun but have you tried Iceborn Gauntlet? Not only does it reduce the damage of your prime target you are chasing, but also slows them, and for each item you gain more slow resistance and tenacity. I think this can totally work with a full Tenacity build while you can still build things like BotrK or Black Cleaver without loosing "tanky-ness".

i play briar top only and ive only lost few times compared to dozens of games, the trick with briar on lane is u need to know when to push, when the enemy moves past a certain line u can w them and berserker will run out before u reach tower

I feel like a potential change to make her a little tiny bit more lane viable w/o buffing her too much would be to add a reset to her E on kill. Still allows for high risk/reward tower dive plays with the W and such, but doesn't add too much power to situations outside of that specific case since the E channel is long enough to be a hinderance in fights and the E heal is tied to the channel.

AS an explonker on brair. Heal and Shield power briar heals for like 70/80% health ANNND GA has a weird interaction (heal half base hp, x 1.5plus heal and shield power AKA 75% base hp). Its funny. But moonstone + full tank and spirit visage = like 70% or so per E. Go the CDR runes and items and BAM 4 or 5 second cooldown mundo R.

tbh the tank build could've been way different cause briar has soo much 1 shot potential even with no ad items soo you can build like kraken(when squishies) or botrk(when tanks) and full tank build but instead of heartsteel you can go iceborn gauntlet or jak'sho

With the CC being so bad, it seems like merc treads and general tenacity is the play on Briar. Given her all in kit, do you think Chemtank would be a good pick here? Doesn't really help with tenacity but helps close the gap. I wonder if Zephyr would actually help. Movement speed, tenacity, attack speed (+stacking), all together might make up for not working with the other items. It's just a bit expensive and definitely not an item you'd get early, I don't know if it's really worth the trouble at that point.
