Artificial Ascent is the best 2.0 level (yes, even better than BoJ, ABP and DotV) in my opinion, it’s aged perfectly and such a level is still rate worthy to this day, I legit prefer this level’s deco over all top 10s except Firework, Codependence and Kyouki. It executes the “abandoned machinery” theme pretty well, is fun to play and has a great song by Dimrain. It’s so good that for me, DD falls short of AA and is pretty on par with CC for their times

Honestly my clearest memory of AA was when I was doing level requests and someone requested a copy of it and I got to around 60-69% (up to that point I had only around 45-49% on it) I don't think I'd ever get that far again especially now that I have taken such a long break from the game. Of course I also had the reeses puffs mashup of the song so that version of the song is permanently ingrained into my brain too

I think it would have been better if all the levels used songs by the same composer, because let's be honest, it's a little strange that the sequels used epic Creo songs, and that the main level I used a boring song by Dimrain47 (If you like his songs, this message was not to offend you). I think that if AA used a Creo song like Dimension, Sphere or any Creo song of the moment it would have been better, but anyway, it doesn't bother me. It is better that you have finished writing, because this comment will be longer than the Arabic dictionary.

i have so many memories with artificial ascent. I first saw it in december of 2020 and first played it in february of 2021. at the time my hardest was deadlocked and i had no idea about the list. I went ahead and jumped from deadlocked to my first list demon and my favorite level of all time - AA 😁 (5 months and 86k attempts)
