Jim Cummings deserves to be a Disney Legend. He's been doing voices for the company for nearly 30 years. I just don't get why they haven't given him that honor yet.

And Corey Burton -- he is amazing. While we are discussing voice talents, Verna Felton and Bill Thompson should be honored. Oh, and Eleanor Audley. I would even include Phil Harris and Hans Conried. How can all these wonderful voice talents have been overlooked as Disney Legends for so long?????

Man this movie will forever be immortalized and the best thing is the cast for this film. They all embodied there respective roles so perfectly. There are times during the animation the animators captured the actors likness. One example is with Mufasa. There times at certain shots you can see James Earl Jones and not Mufasa because I feel they captured his facial likness.

I honestly teared up so much watching this and hearing the voices of some of my childhood characters, the hard work from the team and how the under dog film with no great expectations exceeded it all to become one of the biggest Disney films of an era and has stood the test of time, proud shivers up my spine and happy tears, how i wish Madge Sinclair was still alive to see how amazing the movie has gone on to be. Best 47 minutes and 53 seconds of my life haha didn't want this interview to end.

Fans of Disney animation... Have you seen the documentary, "Waking Sleeping Beauty"? Don Hahn produced it and it is an outstanding record of Disney's 2nd golden age of animation. A really interesting and entertaining film. I highly recommend it.

How was The Lion King not even considered for Best Picture back in the day?

TheatreofSymphony Beauty and the Beast was the first animated feature to be nominated for Best Picture, but I totally agree on why The Lion King never got that kind of credit, let alone win Best Animated Feature. But then again, Best Animated Feature didn't even exist until 2001 or 2002. This is all in the past now. The legacy of The Lion King is what's really important.
