Over in NZ it’s pretty common to na+t cars. They can be reliable but it all comes down to the tune. I’ve had a few rb25de+t setups in skylines they go hard with the higher compression and the main thing cheap. But just like everywhere the prices are going crazy

Majority of all the fastest skylines and Silvia's here in new Zealand are na plus t setups. Had rb na turbo setups that never die. High compression also makes full boost at 2500 on stock 25det turbo.

On a side note, Jordan from RKTunes was just talking about how the only reason people blow up so many engines at higher hp, is that when running turbo, if something goes wrong, there goes your engine, but if you have the ECU programmed to help but it off, you can run more power relatively safely. So there is something to what you and Jimmy were saying about the Link and turbos.

I had a SR16 n/a in my 200s that would not blow up. I junked it after hitting deer and I tried to blow the engine before the recker got there and It just burned rubber forever and I raced around my curvy Country Road really hard with over 275,000miles. If I knew what I knew now I would have just straightened out the core support and got new headlights and Grill. It was the longest lasting car I had and all I had to do was replace the clutch once and an alternator over 9 years.
