Excellent video! Very impressive tool collection. When I got my 06 330ci in 2012 and started my DIY car maintenance repair journey, I purchased the Pittsburgh 301 piece tool set from Harbor Freight. I think I got it for $160 but it's $200 now with a very durable hard case. Really excellent starter set with an emphasis on sockets and ratchets that I still use today. That plus a 1/2 inch breaker bar, and a longer or nicer 3/8 and a 1/2 inch drive ratchet for additional leverage when needed and someone would be well on their way. I haven't lost or broken a single tool amazingly but you could do with better pliers and ratchets in the set. I've picked up additional tools for specific repair jobs as needed and did eventually get some power tools (Milwaukee M12) I love my 3/8 powered ratchet.

Right on time. I'm working on my 01 325ci. Changed the fuel pump, CVC system, and waiting on my new fuel filter to come in.

Well done. It's super satisfying to save so much money and work on your own BMWs. I don't agree with them being very difficult to work on for the most part and the community and resources available for the brand are huge. One of the best parts about owning Bimmers.

Very nice tool collection Chris. You forgot to mention a good mechanic needs multiple pairs of crocs ;-) . I wear them too when I'm wrenching on my 335i. Btw, the 335i has a problem again. My fuel pump module( still the EKPM2) isn't priming every time I open the car. I discovered this is a common problem too on the E chassis. I ordered an EKPM3( LCI's have this already) and I hope this will be the last issue on the car, for a while. Have a great week. Dutch regards, Nico.

I've also noticed a slow start on a few 335i's, but never thought about that priming function being a cause for concern. Thanks for sharing the info! I need to see if this is what's causing my slow start too

@@TheBimmerBarn okay. They changed the complete design inside the module. The PM3 module has larger capasitors and they sealed the complete board too. And easy to program by NCSexpert. Good luck, cheers Nico.
