Well, I had to close down my mowing business of 20 years in 2016 mainly due to health issues. Couldn't do it anymore. At 44 years old, my weight kept increasing despite the constant active job. I worked hard, and I ate hard. I developed hypertension & atrial fibrillation (I believe) as a result of the stress & worry of running a business. I said even in my 30s into my 40s, I'm good to go. Bring it on. Today, 51 years old, way over weight. I still do 1 large lawn on the side and that 1 is almost too much walking to trim. I say all that to say this: Don't say, it won't happen to you. I all but blinked & 20 some years later, I can't believe my dream is gone. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES. I wish now I did. 😢

Hell yea Mrs. Hannah would love to see some important daily stretches. I’ve done excavation/landscaping work for 20 plus yrs probably raked more dirt with my feet than a rake… now I’m paying for it hip/ lower right back. Going to get it checked out, but I know stretching is important and would be great to learn some good daily staple stretches. I just started my own lawn and landscaping business after breaking my back in 2016. I have noticed that I still have things in my daily work activities that aggravate that injury. What would be your suggestions for ways to train and strengthen my body to not have those issues daily?
@mithgo_outdoor2 жыл бұрын
Gonna leave this one for Hannah to respond...we will definitely be covering back strengthening in some videos to come
@hannahjohnson88722 жыл бұрын
Hey Daniel! What section of your back was broken? Has your Dr or PT given you any exercises to avoid, or are you cleared to exercise at your own discretion? I'll get something together for you!
@danielhughes70832 жыл бұрын
@@hannahjohnson8872 I broke T12 which fused to T11. Afterwards L1-2 and L4-5 have narrowing. That then caused my core muscles to apparently lose some function. I’ve been told by the dr and pt that I can do any exercises I want but if they cause pain to not do them. Most days I start out in pain and it gets worse as I work. I know it can get better if I knew how and what to do to strengthen my body.
