What keeps me from being content with my life right now is FEAR. I have all I need, even after losing everything, and I have no big dreams or desires in my immediate future, but fear keeps me from reaching that happiness and joy of contentment. This devotional reminded me of how I CAN reach that peace that passes all my understanding!

You are much like all of us. We have a sense of “ waiting for the other shoe to drop”. Did you ever hear that old saying? I think it means that even after a hard struggle and reaching a point of stabilization, we have fear about what’s next. As intelligent humans we know there is some other struggle probably coming. That’s life on planet Earth. What has helped me is taking a little time to remember that we have overcome every difficulty that we’ve faced so far, be confident . Be confident that in spite of any coming trouble we will make it through. God is with us. We are strong, we have a good mind, and with the help of God we will figure it out. So, enjoy all the good in your life today and offer up thanks to God for all things.

You pronounced "pontificate" perfectly! Thank you for sharing your devotional with us! A lot of us need to be content with what we have right now. It's a reality for myself. I'm going to keep learning more and more about who the Lord is, and growing my faith. I want to be so focused on Him that no one will be able to shake my foundation. I want to keep my mind on things above, where Christ is!

I so need ed to hear this message today! My baby daughter is on her way to Kenya for 6 weeks to do mission work. I’m so very excited for all the Lord is doing in her life but she’s never been this far away from us, and I have felt such a loneliness these past couple of days. I need to hear what you had to say. The enemy will bombard our minds with all kinds of negative thoughts. I’m so thankful for scripture to comfort and encourage us. “Think on these things” hit home me me. I’m going to think of how much good things she’ll have to tell us when she gets back! Please be in prayer for her and her team while they are there. We love you and all your family so much. We watch all your channels and y’all feel like family to us!

“Digging in deeper to what I have now and not always reaching for more.” Such wisdom. What a blessing your devotionals are to take God’s word and help us apply it. You have confirmed my own goals for this year. ❤

This goes hand in hand with my word for the year. Each year I have a word that has me focusing on what I need to focus on for the year. This year is cleanse. I'm going to be cleansing my life of anything unnecessary so that I can focus on the things that are important.

I had an amazing Christmas. Now that I'm living back home, I got to spend time with alot of my family. I even got to meet my 11 yr old niece for the first time. I got to meet one of my nephew's girlfriend and I got to meet another nephew's fiance. It was the most amazing Christmas. Family was my Christmas gift this year.

Your devotional videos are really nice! I’m heading into 2025 🎉 with my first year retirement, and a sewing business I embarked on two years ago👏 This devotional takes me to these two verses also: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 Be blessed in 2025!❤. -SouthCentral PA

This was so inspiring & encouraging! Just today I brought a Christian book " Detox The Soul". The first page started with Philippines 4:8...Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right,,and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Coincidence I thing not! Listening to this video is my confirmation!Ty Corie! I except this challenge!😊❤ and may you & all your kin have A Very Happy & Blessed New Year !🎉😊❤

When you got to the part of the devotional where the words "I Am" the Key... came up, the first thought that came to mind was: "Yes, He is. There is only *one* "I Am", and that someone is Yahweh; the King of the Universe, Creator of all things. And Most High.

I liked the partial message yesterday & actually thought it was a little bit of an odd ending but chalked it up to "busy momma editing". However, I really am glad to hear the full thing! Right on, Corie, that's a good Word right there. I don't usually have a sense of discontentment, but oddly about 20 minutes before listening to this completed video, I had some. That's really neat, because that is the 3rd time today I specifically saw God at work. -much love always ~Mary & fam in NJ

Hey Corie, I'm having a little DeJaVu, but in a good way, unlike you and Katie. I enjoy your devotionals. I don't ever make new year resolutions. Not that they are a bad thing, but it's just something I've never done. I'm very content, thanks to God. But far from perfect. In fact, none of us will ever be as such. I love you all and continued prayers to Everybody!

CBT can be a good thing. There are many similar therapies that are also effective. Discuss it with your PCP and they can recommend which one is best for your specific problem. CBT, ACT, DBT, MBSR, ...it is always advisable to seek instruction from a trained Therapist to begin and to have on call if you need them. It goes beyond what the Bible teaches. Live The WORD. There is no magic.
