I’m sorry I’m just going to say this because God has been ministering to me concerning this particular case and I hope I don’t say the wrong thing if I do please forgive me and check the scriptures to contradict me and test what I’m saying , whatever I say , I say it humbly , believers please spend time with God growing in Him let Him deal with certain areas in your life you see the fruits of the spirit are for others to enjoy not even you , when a tree bears fruit it is other people that eat of it not the tree it self (thank you Billy) , now one of the fruits of the spirit is patience , you must be patient with your people as a minister , is it wrong to have phone ringing yes believers please let’s behave ourselves but please ministers , let’s learn to sanctify God before our people by walking in love (for because of this Moses did not enter the promised land), the result of what just happened is that those who where innocent would suffer the punishment of Him walking away because of those who where guilty , you can rebuke but please don’t punish the innocent people because of those who did wrong , let’s learn from Moses and allow God work on us , Amen and amen.

Walking out on the people of God? If that place was the presence of God and he walked out did he leave God's presence or left with God? So if your governor sends you to address an audience you can walk out on them for an error or indiscipline that didn't pose safety or security threat to lives? Punish all amongst them were hungry of the word for an offense of one or two? Can God who told Abraham that he cant punish the righteous with the sinners do same? People took out their mobile phones and begun talking, they walked out to wish their friends and family Happy New year. They didn’t even wait for the closing prayer. That I found very dishonourable and disrespectful to the Man of God and to God Himself. A big shame.

People can have their say and they always will but as long as lessons are learnt and the fear and respect for God is established. People are just always ready to bash servants of God... Same here! Agree with Apostle Arome!!! When I was little, women didn’t wear red lipstick, or chew gum or trousers in the church. When kids made noise during the sermon, even giggling, the church mother watching them reached down the aisle and smacked their leg with wooden spoon! And look where we are now, people don’t even bring their bibles to church! That’s my biggest petpeeve….. if you need to use iPad for a larger print, ok, but let’s not use a phone where you do everything on and become distracted. 😮📣

I use my phone to type sermon cause I naturally type fast with my phone. never for once has phone rang during a sermon cause I always put my phone in Silence and DND or airplane mode. This is not the right way to end a sermon just because 2 person's phones rang. You mean to tell me that the main purpose of gathering in the House of God wasn't achieved? I mean if during the time Jesus was speaking to 5000 people and someone's kid started crying, would Jesus have stopped preaching the Word of God to the people. Sometimes Pastor's need to do better. They should remember that the members are their sheep God has given them to look after. No one is perfect in this World apart from Jesus Christ. If we say, we are Christ's followers, then we need to be like Christ. We shouldn't hide behind the anointing of God and just say and do things we don't have to do. If I was the one, I wouldn't have come back to that church again. I will go to a church that respects his sheep and cares for them. Those who are agreeing with Apostle and just trying to criticize those whose phones rang in the church to let Apostle leave, do you also care about the first timers who came to church that day to listen to God's Word? What about those who were also seated quietly waiting to hear God's word through the Apostle? To me, Apostle Arome could have just continued with the preaching then after church, call the people whose phones brought the distraction and advice them. That's how a Man of God should behave.

A very good point was made on this matter: You cannot have ringtones going off in a mosque. Neither can you have ringtones going off in a shrine where satan is. So, if in a mosque and shrine of satan people have the discipline to keep their phones silent, then you just have to respect what Apst. Arome did. I think he is right. God must be revered. Those who don't revere Him neither know Him nor have the discipline to spend time with Him daily.
