My take on this airport ( btw am from Ebonyi): 1) The exterior design could be better. It looks basic. 2) The interior is good with the exception of the multi color designs. Plain cream or grey would have done wonders. 3) My concern is sustainability and traffic to the airport especially international flights. (Nigerian politics of economic blockade of the East is still alive). In conclusion, Umahi did well infrastructural. You cannot take that away from him. He lacked in other areas like human development. But govt is a continuum. The next governor can do that.

Good job,well done. David Umahi has really written his name in gold in the State and Nigeria,double kudos to him. But i have a very big observation, why naming it Mohammed Buhari Airport. He has been named after an airport somewhere else. There's numerous number of people the edifice can be named after. The likes of Emeka O Ojukwu, M I Okpara,Martin Elechi,Sam Egwu ect.. It would be good to give the maintenance & cleaning contract to a specialist cleaning company. The colour combinations is too loud,looks like a nursery school environment. This is a job well done by Governor Umahi. From the look of things, the airport is not fully completed. Work is still ongoing in almost all the sections of the airport. Congratulations to the people of Ebonyi State, and also to their Governor Dave Umahi. My question is this: there are some individuals and villages residing within and around the airport, who have been using the airport tarmac or runway as their access road, does the State, and Governor Dave Umahi have plans to build a separate and accessible road(s) for them to use? Does the State have plans to build a perimeter fencing around the length and breath of the airport, and also provide/mount Close Circuit cameras for security purposes? This last question is for you Mazi Ezeoke, because you have travelled almost all over the world, with the location of the airport, how possible is it going to be attracting foreign airlines or international flights to use this marvelous airport?

Once upon a time Peter Obi was a governor of a state but he decided to save the state's money instead of spending the money on lasting infrastructure according to him. Let us forget for a while the current governor of Ebonyi State in the aspect of political and switch on to the infrastructure of roads, hospitals, educational institutes and now the upcoming of the International Airport. Undeniably, the current governor or the political leaderships of this very State have proven how to embezzle public funds by building different civil infrastructures not only to the inhabitants of Ebonyi State but to the entire governor's of the Federal Republic of Miyetti Allahakubar of Nigeria. Wallahi, I salute the entire political leadership of Ebonyi State, but one thing I suggest is instead of building the 36 Billion Naira International Airport, it would have been better to deploy the money by building food processing plants, energy plants, setting up different manufacturing plants by exploiting the natural minerals deposits of the Iron-Ore, Zinc, Magnesium & Copper products in different locations of the Ebonyi States which will employ thousands of youths and generate huge amounts of money to the State in both local & hard currency. By the way for those of you who do not know , apart from Anambra State Ebonyi State also acquire Iron-Ore, Zinc, Magnesium & Copper minerals deposits !!! Therefore the next target should be exploiting of the mineral deposits intensively.

These elephant projects are beautiful but can we start from basics. Like pipe borne water not bore holes, a working sanitation system, standard for road construction- road borders should be covered with grass,shrubs and trees, or Cement and gravel to avoid erosion, underground water drainge system- gutters are eyes sores,breeds mosquitoes and malaria ; electricity. Then we will really enjoy these elephant proiects. It doesn't make sense building a mansion inside a refuse dump!!! Great job any. We just need a good foundation, FIRST!!!
