There are highly intelligent unemployed University graduates in Nigeria who should be trained as police officers instead of all these stark illiterate monsters in uniform. Most importantly,there must be severe purnishments for erring officers,including their direct bosses who normally send them out to go for extortions,which must include death penalties. No police unit extorts without the knowledge of their supervisors who always cover them up. And,most of the supervisors in turn have some ogas at the top whom they settle for protections too.The whole system is messed up from the top to bottom.

The IG is a listening man. Very intelligent too. Please Oga IG disband those police officers who collect 50 naira or 100 naira from struggling taxi drivers. We do not want such ‘little corruption’ on our highways and road blocks. We are vehemently protesting against these ‘little corruption’. We shall very soon protest against the ‘big corruption’ entrenched by the politicians. The police should be fully funded and paid. PRO is also a sincere guy but should stick to the truth. One can be sincere in one’s conviction and can be sincerely wrong because sincerity is not the test for truth.
