The Jews were at their Synagogue to raise money and support ZAKA, which from what I’ve gathered sends money and aid to the first responders in Israel and Palestine. I’m pretty sure the Palestinians all came from Patterson, a neighboring town, to protest against ZAKA so the Jews decided to meet them head on as well.
