FULL WEEK OF TRAINING - IRONMAN 70.3 BUILD
This is a full week of training as I build into the racing season, focusing on getting in volume and quality for each of the disciplines. In this phase of my training it was time to conduct some testing on the bike to adjust training numbers and track progression; the FTP test on Wednesday was the first test I have done in 2024. Here is how the week was structured:
Monday: Swim 1h, bike 1h
Tuesday: Run 45m
Wednesday: Bike 1h10m, Strength 30m
Thursday: Swim 1h15m (missed), run 1h (adjusted)
Friday: OFF
Saturday: Bike 1h50m
Sunday: Run 1h30m
Total planned: 9h
The actual totals for the week were:
Monday: Swim 54m, bike 1h5m
Tuesday: Run 47m
Wednesday: Bike 1h 10m, strength 29m
Thursday: Run 1h12m
Friday: OFF (mobility 18m)
Saturday: Bike 1h52m
Sunday: Run 1h44m
Total: 9h36m
