Thank you for the wonderful tour of your garden! Right now I’m looking out my window at newly fallen snow. Last week one day it was 61 degrees here and boy did that give me spring fever! It was so wonderful to take a walk through your green garden with you and Gary! Please keep the gardening tips coming! They’re so appreciated!😊

Nice to see Gary's garden again. Glad to see him back at work. No black aphids on your Nasturtiums. You should look for a used electric three wheeler or golf cart to ride up and down to canyon area.

Your gardens inspire me and relax me while we are starting to get into our coldest months of the year and right now we are freezing . January and February are brutal here in SW Oklahoma near the Texas border. Look out for Valentines day here , it can be the worst snow and ice .

What a wonderful garden tour. Thank you so much for sharing your delicious eye candy for hungry growers hearts. I find it so soothingly therapeutic to be transported through your gardens as you share your thoughts, plans, and hopes for the 2025 growing season. ~ A thought regarding 'shaded coverings' (organic and man made), I know they do 'seem' problematic during (less warm) times, however, I also find that they're the difference between survival and death of plants during the hot times of the year. Reflective lighting can be very helpful key. (I've even used tinfoil oven liners at times). I like your idea of the small reflective balls set in potted plants, (it's inspired me to try covering little D.Tree ping-pong balls with foil, as they may provide plants with reflective lighting, and possibly be an insect deterrent also).

I no longer have a yard to garden and have switched to houseplants (and developed a Hoya obsession...) but I still enjoy watching your videos! I do have container fruit trees in my patio but there is very little sun back there as the patio is right at the back of an office building. No idea how they will do in the long run. Really miss the big backyard I had before.

Happy New Year Robbie and Gary!! So grateful for your channel, my Mom and I still learning from your old videos, and new ideas on most of your recent videos. Have a question, why not use clear green house plastic on top of the dog cages instead of the tarp? To let the light in. Love the idea of the dog kennels to protect the plants👌🏼

We have been thinking of putting something else on top that’s more clear, but right now I want to use what it came with. I may change it up later, but we’ll see how it goes with this. Here in the summer we get very hot so I’m thinking this could even help the plants. But that is a great thought and it is something we have been both thinking about here. Thank you so much. Enjoy the downtime in the cooler months now because garden season will be here before we all know it. Happy new year and again thank you❤

I have tree roots , health problems, don't want to give up gardening, live in northern michigan. Going to try this! Anyone else do this in colder weather? I worry about worms in the tubs in winter. Do the tubs freeze and crack? Thanks Robbie and Gary for your videos!!

My tubs have held up so far, in PA. Just make sure water can run out and they have soil in.

This is worth talking about, great question. I believe they will do fine where you are, but if you want, you can go a little bit better and get the extra heavy duty and I know those will be wonderful. And don’t worry about the worms if they’re not happy they’ll leave or they’ll go more towards the center of the tote where the soil will still stay a little warmer ❤

I was thinking. Your wall would be great to erect a couple of trellises to grow passionfruit, choko, or any other perennial or seasonal vine. Sweet peas would be nice to add a splash of colour between the green. Just a thought.

Robbie, I was wondering, perhaps the avocado tree can be kept arm length height, and by keeping it in a tote the roots will be sort of bonsaid only they will be growing in the nutrient rich soil you make, adding a new bottom layer, or transfering to a new tote that has already prepared compost in it every 1 or two years. In a few years it should start to bear fruit. The fruit might be smaller or bear a comfortable small crop. What do you think?

Hi Robbie. I do love your garden and all of your ideas. I've copied so many of them. I ordered 4 cuttings of tree collards, 2 green and 2 purple. I ordered them from "tree collards project" and they have all rooted, so now I just have to decide where to plant them. I would love it if you could do a video on how to use tree collards for cooking. Just wanted to say thanks and Happy New Year 🎊🎉🍾🥂

Robbie please either use or just take the tarp roof off. If that stuff starts shredding on you it will be horrible it will get every where. A fellow I used to work for had blue shreds every where from the neighbor's dog's roof. Just cover it with your tulle or clear plastic or glass.
