And what people forget is, Ozzy wrote everything he sang. It's melody. Melody is composition. If Paul McCartney can get accolades for his sense of melody (but to me there's nothing else in his songs but that), Ozzy should get the same respect. Because he is an excellent melodist. Far better than Dio. Ozzy's sense of melody is the kind that sticks in your head.

@@angusorvid8840 to quote Bob Daisley: "Ozzy wrote too...he'd come up with a lot of the vocal melodies". AND there is a certain consistency in the style and scales of the vocal melodies on Ozzy albums regardless of who's writing the lyrics or the music behind it. See No Rest for The Wicked Tour and Ozzy was still not completely lethargic, Zack was the Ultimate guitarist that night and by far the best guitar solo I ever witnessed. The reason Zakk is better for Ozzy, 1 he wrote the meanest riffs that transitioned from the late 80’s into the 90’s era, 2 he dreamed of playing for Ozzy and got the gig. His favorite guitarist is Randy and his playing is untouchable. Jake nowadays looks like an old man and plays alright. Zakk is defying what is possible speed wise pentatonic wise for over 20 minute solos every show. And according to Ozzy, Jake was a boring introvert roommate/band mate. That must be awkward and borderline torture to deal with being a rockstar. Zakk isn’t given the respect he deserves from a lot of metals heads out there and at the end of the day, we can like Jake more then Zakk, but No More Tears out sold every album he ever sold. Zakk is the best Ozzy ever had. He never stopped producing music. Jake cried for over 20 years or something about being kicked out. @zoomosis2 жыл бұрын
@@jiveturkey1257 I suspect a big reason Randy wanted to leave was because Ozzy was contractually obliged to record a live album full of Black Sabbath covers and Randy was totally against the idea. Randy wasn't known to be a fan of Black Sabbath's songs and probably felt insulted at the thought of doing a whole album of them. It's not hard to imagine there being huge pressure on him to record it from Ozzy and Sharon, enough to get into a fight about it with Ozzy, particularly since the owner of the record company (Jet Records) was Sharon's father. Ozzy also married Sharon that same year, just a few months after Randy's death. The live album would ultimately be recorded later that year, six months after Randy died, with Brad Gillis on guitar. It was released as Speak Of The Devil just before Christmas in 1982. It's now kind of Ozzy's "forgotten album" from the 1980s: unavailable to stream online and only really available on the used CD market, from what I can tell.

Ozzy, Sharon and the infamous "bus driver/pilot" aka "Doctor Train Wreck" all had a secret deal (ritual sacrificed) with the "unknown" (Sabbaths highly controversial but recognized spiritual 5th member) Iommi made a deal with this spiritual being as well and was supposed to sacrifice Ozzy, but instead fate stepped in and Ozzy was just fired but he was spiritually sacrificed which Iommi thought his commitment was met but it wasnt so the ominous 5th member casted the group of Black Sabbath to be placed in a hex of "holding period" where they neither demised nor advanced (which explains why Sabbath had such a confusing career/history after Ozzy's departure. Next the spiritual being went on to continue to play with Ozzy's soul by offering him a second chance of super-stardom based on conditional requirements that must be kept. After that Ozzy knew he was gonna comeback big because he had his personal "mojo/high priest" 5th member back at his side. Unfortunately for Randy this also meant he would be the sacrificial conditional requirement that Ozzy agreed to for a life long of fame and notoriety (which hindsight clearly shows happened even though Ozzy really should have went defunct with all those other 80s heavy metal acts that did back in the day) Sharon was given her instructions on who to hire (the bus driver with the black aura surrounding him (see Ritchie Blackmore's spiritual awareness of this dark man that he refused to hire to drive them on their tour months prior to Sharon hiring him, just by doing a quick reading and assessment of the guy) Anyways Randy did have a guardian angel watching over him but unfortunately Randy decided to against his normal behavior (which was part of the "guardian's" will, and did freely accept to go along for a quick ride up in that plane. It was a ritual of "3" for that day and that meant 3 must go and be offfered up as to Ozzy and Sharons commitment for the life they are still allowed to have up to this day. But time is catching up with old Ozzy and he has failed to live up to his conditional commitments as of late.......by now one of his children should have been offered up and that clearly hasnt happened so now Ozzy is hexed with a plague of problems which will surely be his demise. Now you know the "real" story.

With all we know , NOW, about the dealings with Jake and the rumors of the Osbournes attempting to even screw over Randy Rhoads out in the middle of a tour just before his death - I've often wondered what the situation was/is with Zakk ? From the looks of it, Zakk has never had a public mix up with the Osbournes, that I can remember. I know he supposedly "left" a couple of times etc.. I guess Zakk is pretty easy going , knew/knows when he landed the gig way back in 1988 that it was a coveted position etc.. so he probably didn't make too much fuss/many waves about pay/royalties/song credits etc.. - and I'm sure at this point he's done well thru the Osbourne organization . Obviously , it's probably not the amount many of us would think - I think that explains his ventures with side gigs: BLS, Zakk Sabbath etc..

Jake has a reputation for having been a, if not raging, alcoholic for years. Add that (IMO) he doesn’t come off as very bright (his “brother, pastor, bishop, cardinal” BLS banter is cringe at best).
