Lalisa T I don’t think it was solely mercy on Mustang‘s side- injured soldiers bind more men than a dead soldier would. Two men usually carry an injured man to safety- that’s three soldiers out of the way opposed to a single one if you simply killed a soldier.

She might not know Morse code because S.O.S is a commonly known signal made for the purpose so that anyone would be able to quickly signal it. Usually people who know Morse code have to write out the letters as they are transmitted but S.O.S is easily memorialize so that step is not necessary.

Honestly it always amazes me that nobody gets that Salim was using a code. I didn’t get either but in hindsight it was super obvious, and every time I see someone react to it and not get it I feel a little better about myself. Also those clones each have a little piece of a Philosopher Stone inside of them so keep that in mind.

Even after loads of time to realize that Selim isn't actually just an innocent child, the fact that he looks like one makes it hard to read into the visual of a kid smacking something with a stick. That and his utterly bored expression helps keep it from being too obvious.

And the way he got the stick from acting like he was gonna dig through the wall was ingenious, but if it were a fully grown man I would like to think I would be smart enough to recognize he was sending a signal to someone.

I rather think that, out of all people, Al should have get that. He wasn't some random guy, he was an educated alchemist and he was always near Ed who was a State Alchemist. And, guess what, State Alchemists are part of the ARMY so they HAVE TO know a lot of codes and be able to recognize them immediately. The Brothers cracked Doctor Marco's code together before and noticed his work was coded in the first place for the f sake. This one thing really bugged me in the show.

^ nah, neither of the brothers got any military training, Ed was accepted as a state Alchemist really quickly, so all of that military paperwork was skipped, people usually train and do lots of research to have that title, plus Alphonse is not even a state Alchemist, PLUS he´s like 12

How then Al didn't got one of the easiest and most recogniseable codes (SOS in Morse) is beyond me.

Not on your life I Think the right term you're looking for is 'Mr Ho and the Elric Bros' Mustang played them suckers perfectly, and now with the Fuhrer's wife on their side it's much easier to change public opinion These guys are Mustang's team during the Ishval war, fiercely loyal to him due to him going full on out of his way to keep them safe turns out you _could_ fit a whole battalion in there Also very unwise to be within arm's reach of Olivier when her sword is drawn Oh no the Briggs men are killing people, they don't want to be careless And the returns keep rolling in, first Rebecca, then Maria Ross and then Havoc, it's all coming together for Team Mustang Rebecca is Hawkeye's friend May is like 12 years old guys cut her some slack Aw man you cut the Sacrifice line, it's always an epic one Sneaky Selim though, relaying a Code to Father Ed sure loves to throw Scar in it XD Worth reminding that Hohenheim knows where Father is, he intentionally sent the rest on a false trail and bailed Lan Fan out to face Father alone Well that's not horrifying at all I'd still say that you may find that Brotherhood's better, and Brotherhood is more canon to the Manga Oh yeah the spear...yeah that has seen better days... That was just Father, the tubes are his stone being scattered around the country His name is Denny Brosh Marcoh hasn't even entered Central yet let alone met Mustang Not all the Ishvalans, just a small group

Automail wouldn't quite work for Havoc, 'cause his problem is with his nerves. Automail can replace a missing limb, but if the problem is that your nervous system can't send the signal to the arm properly, then automail ain't gonna fix shit. You'd need to like, replace his entire lower body or at least the spinal column, and that's some crazy shit right there.

Cut her some slack, she just wants to help save the people that helped her (in the manga the people that helped her before entering the dessert [in the anime], she met them when she was arriving to Amestris, they have helped her before). Don't forget that even if she is a prodigy like Ed & Al, she is just a child, and just like them she makes mistakes, Alphonse didn't stop Selim who was sending an S.O.S. signal and you weren't saying "fuc***g Al" like with May :/ & May is even younger than Al... I love your reactions, but her being one of my favorite characters of this anime/manga (it's impossible to have just one fav in FMA) it really disappointed me the lack of understanding of her situation.
