How can I repay you brother of mine? How can I expect you to forgive? Clinging to the past I shed our blood And sheadered your chance to live Though I knew the laws I paid no heed How can I return your wasted breath? What I did not know has cost you dear For there is no cure for death. Beautiful mother, soft and sweet Once you were gone, we were not complete Back through the years we reached for you At last was not meant to be And how can I make amends? For all that I took from you I lead you with hopeless dreams My brother I was a fool. Don't cry for the past now brother of mine Neither you nor I are free from grief Nothing can erase the things we did For the path we took was the same Beautiful mother, soft and sweet Once you were gone, we were not complete Back through the years we reached for you At last was not meant to be My dreams made me blinding you I longed to be returned to that time I followed without a word My brother the fault is mine So where do we go from here? And how to forget and forgive What's gone is forever lost Now all we can do is live.

I find it remarkable that for some pieces, you play with sweetness and a delicate touch (like this one), while on others (We Are Free, Pirates, Braveheart), you play with all the tenderness, care and insight of a 3rd year high school student just trying to keep up with reading the notes. I wish all your performances were as great as this one.
@ShroomRPG10 жыл бұрын
Wow dude that's pretty harsh.
@eschelar10 жыл бұрын
The Shadow Ampharos Are you serious? Telling her that she played this very well is harsh? Telling her that I wish she put as much effort into performance quality on her other videos as she did in this one is harsh? What universe do you live in? This girl basically phones it in when she works with a video production company. But when she plays by herself in her living room, she plays with tenderness and depth. This is true for more than 80% of the videos I have seen. It could be that she clams up when she's in a recording booth and there's a proper microphone. I've felt that myself. But there's a major difference in quality. Why would someone as serious about her craft as this young girl be in any way hurt by honesty and a thought-out and balanced critique? Perhaps you just don't understand because you've never tried to learn or do anything difficult yourself.

eschelar Your comment is what's known as the back-ended insult.
@eschelar10 жыл бұрын
Ashley Miller Only if the person on the other end takes it as an insult. I listened to a playlist of around 50 or so pieces. Around half were nice, well played and carefully considered. The other half were down-right pedestrian and reminded me of 3rd year high school students. Not even remotely the same level of skill being displayed. I'm not saying that she is incapable of playing well or that she "sucks". I am saying that this performance is good and I wish she put this much effort into all of her videos. In other words - *exactly what I said in the first comment*. There is and was nothing veiled or back-ended about it.

I love musicians who can play popular songs that are often times from video games (or in this case anime). it shows how far both media forms have come. (sound in particular) going from the beeps and boops of a system like the Atari to what we have now with Xbox one ps4 pc etc shows how much we have improved. in fact VGBGM has become such a popular form of music that professional orchestras are preforming fan favorites. (seen a tv commercial for such a show once) in short VGBGM is one of my favorite genres of music and anyone who strives to make it more established as a mainstream genre gets a /clap from me.

@swiggey210 жыл бұрын
TheNinjaInConverse Eh, I don't think so. I believe Lindsey and Taylor actually have worked together before. They're just two very talented violinists. Taylor is the calm, soothing violinist (such as those you see performing in concert halls), and Lindsey is the outgoing, pop star who incorporates playing with dancing. I don't think either is going to become "the next one". Taylor is getting big and so is Lindsey. I enjoy both and hope they both continue going their ways with their own music and play style.

This is a magical song that fills my heart with emotions, and I've never seen the source material. You play so masterfully, every stroke of the bow is intentioned and precise, every twitch of your fingers gives life to the notes. It's a joy to see you play.
