Not really sure! We didn't flesh out her background super far, since the video didn't need that kind of direction.. but since she's older than Ed, I placed her in being in the military long before him, so she could have lost it during the war? MAYBE SHE DID SOME BRAVE FEAT but I think she's too pure of a character to have been a part of the war for long, so I'd say she was injured pretty quickly and was sent home

I feel like she would've lost her arm saving someone early on in the war and then was sent home with Armstrong

Saving or trying to save? Reaching to grab someone out the way of an attack but just a moment too late to save them and her arm ripped off by the blast? It'd be an interesting dynamic with Ed because she'd have no regrets about what she did and far less concern over her lost limb. The one thing that would haunt her would be that she wasn't quick and/or strong enough and that would be her driving force. Her desire to protect others to atone for her past failure. They'd have similar problems but a rather different outlook on them. Yet their goals, as idealists, would most likely align and, if her obsession with being more than she can be led her to be consumed by sin, it would have a truly gut-wrenching impact as a result. Perhaps there could even be a short-lived romance sub-plot between them to really set up the tragedy.

Beautiful, moving, compelling, mind blowing, colorful, put together, need I say more? Yes and it's a long list of how incredible this video was done. I love it all. Amalee has such a voice. This video made me relive so much and I can't get enough of it. That's how brilliant it is. Everything about it is just so... how can I even put it into a word.
