Svelte/Sveltekit made me fall in love with programming again.

I did a lot of web development back in the late 90' and early 2000's building things that rival some of the stuff we even do today. By the time Angular came out I had moved into backed development and designing large scale systems (more than 800 million transactions daily) and found more happiness in that kind of challenge. I dabbled with React and never found a place for it. Last year I discovered SvelteKit and fell in love with it. It offers so much of what is needed for modern web development but allows you to focus almost completely on what matters most: HTML, CSS, and component design without diverting 80% that focus to managing the framework also. I loved it so much so, I put my team (I'm the CTO) to the task of completely rewriting our React front end to Svelte (what took 2.5 years to make up to that point) --- and they only had a 12 week deadline and we delivered it on the very day without any known regressions until we found the first (and only known regression 9 months later). Been a year and the team is loving it. We're able to do more in less time than we did with the other framework.

Love the syntax, will definitely learn svelt when there are more library support such as client side router, i18 localizaiton etc
@user-kc8uh9ve4j Жыл бұрын
There are awesome libs for both routers and localisation
@luckydev3911 Жыл бұрын
There's plenty, you'll have to read up on their own documentation tho
@xxXAsuraXxx Жыл бұрын
@@luckydev3911 there are plenty but extremely low download rate and looks abandoned. e.g svelte -router

is this literally just walking through the tutorial on the website?
@daleryanaldover6545 Жыл бұрын
No, he is adding more to what is being taught in the tutorial website. Concepts and techniques that some of us might not catch when learning svelte/kit. And that in itself is a huge reason to take the course but obviously I don't have the resources to do so.

I'm surprised this isn't one of their free courses =/

Did you know that there's no full support to tailwind headlessui yet? plus svelte is now slower than vuejs, and there's millionjs in the neighborhood now. I love Svelte syntax, but...
@ionutale1950 Жыл бұрын
trust me. how fast the library is less important. What you (and your colleagues) write really makes the difference

Did svelte get slower or vue faster?
@Ataraxia_Atom Жыл бұрын
That's not true, I just looked up the JS framework benchmark and Svelte is faster than Vue in almost every metric
