I'm going to show you options for great free mods, but also show you what a full soundscape through Zeemods will sound like with a healthy dose of free mods and paid mods. Great comment, SCS engine and air brake sounds are so poor. Thank you to Zeemod (sounds) and Overfloater( cabover Kenworth) for making ATS so much better. I still run 1.39 version, very tired of scs so called upgrades disabling or breaking mods. This video is very good I will need to watch it a few times to let it sink in. I wonder if WYOMING will run on 1.39?

There are good free sounds. However Zeemods is a whole step above period! All recordings are from the real engines and trucks. For a few dollars it's so worth it. Zeemods rents these trucks to get his sound recordings from so he pays money to do this. So repaying him for that is so worth it.

I use a combined engine sound mod for ATS that is from Rookie_One. It includes various CAT engines from C-10s to C-16s and 3408, it once had 3406 but for some reason he removed them. DD 60 serices and DD series from DD13 to DD16. Cummins N14, M11, ISX and X L10 ISM and Mack and Volvo engines for the respective brands truck and PACCAR. Most of the old engines are for the W900 and Pete long nose truck. He goes by if those trucks are available as glider kits. It supports quite a few mod trucks as well such as the R series Mack and W990. It seems that there isn't much truck mods on the Steam workshop. If there are some present, they often don't get updated to keep up with the game. Payware seems to be the only way to get truck mods for ATS. I use a mod that adds in the air sound as the transmission shifts, and one called real soundproofing that takes into account sound dampening materials used in the trucks.

I grabbed the free Zeemods as soon as I heard about them. I now own everything he’s done. If a truck doesn’t have a Zee engine it rarely gets used! The Johnny Cash set with the Air Starts are great too. I think I still have that on my Argosy

@@JonLawVids Engine Voice Records. He was a sound modder like Zee, professionally recording sounds and charging for them. He just like abandoned all his mods. Payware's that don't work anymore.

If you're using zeemods soundscape, start with all 3 engines 100% and then adjust to your liking. Rule of thumb is start at 100% on everything and pull the master down. You'll be surprised at how good it sounds if you're using a lot of sound mods to accent the game.

yes .. it's a bug. You'll have to choose the original mirrors to not get that glare. THat happened on the last update.

Dang!!??!! 10900k OC to 5.6??? What are your bios settings for that?? And are you running the OC on selected cores? I'm running at 5.2 OC all cores synched at 1.37V on my 10900K and hitting 85C at full load. Too scared to go any higher.

Hello , i just bought a computer capable of running ATS and i bought a Logitech G920 wheel and pedals and the Logitech shifter. I love the game but im so disappointed with the engine sounds. I downloaded the sounds fix and the engine sound pack but i dont see that Kenworth anywhere in ATS and i cant find a cummins engine that sounds like the one in your video. Any idea what i may be doing wrong . Thanks for any help you can give me.

try 1.39 real straight piped Peterbilt 389 from steam. it stops my grinds on all trucks. when I take it out, the grinds return.

I'm a little confused by one thing... you show to build the order from the engine sound up... but on the document you get from zeemod, they say to put it at the top....

🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ my way works 1000% of the time all the time. When I do it their way I have holes in my sounds where stuff doesn’t sound. And also keep in mind all modders tell you put their mods at the top. Gets confusing if you have multiples you know what I mean. Do it my way and you won’t have conflicts unless your stuff is out of date.
