Many thanks for uploading this tape. Its always interesting to see footage from these old public domain tapes. Interesting how the 4th cartoon got left off. Shows that a lot of these companies didn't take a great deal of care when compiling their tapes.

If anyone is able to answer I'd be interested to find out, were any copies of this tape produced which DID contain all 4 cartoons? Cartoons R Fun tapes were rather similar in that they were meant to have 4 cartoons on each tape but on some copies, the 4th one got missed off.

The Analog Archive Wow I didn't realise there were tapes like that out there. All the CRF tapes I've owned have had either 3 or 4 cartoons. So far I've only had one instance where a fourth cartoon has been listed on the back of the box then missed out on the tape itself and one where the tape ran out a minute or so into the 4th one. Have actually had several where the 4th cartoon had been crossed out on the back and then still appeared. Guessing I've been very lucky

Do you know how they always said there were supposed to be four cartoons on vhs? They lie!
endingman Everything about this tape is exactly as I remember. 10 seconds after the final cartoon, I had that same distortion problem. 22:05. Apparently, they (Celebrity Home Entertainment) used a poor master.

All three of these cartoons had no opening and closing titles at all. For example, "Two of Two Kitties" is missing the opening title and the "That's all folks" end title was not shown, second, "Betty Boop and Grampy" has no UM&M opening and closing titles, that's a shame! If you watch carefully toward the middle of an iris out, a Paramount end title almost appeared while it was frozen, but it got plastered into the UM&M end title. And finally, a Superman cartoon had no Paramount logo at beginning and end of the cartoon which was odd. Thankfully, "Tale of Two Kitties" are completely restored and it featured on one of the "Looney Tunes Golden Collection" DVD sets and a "Superman" cartoon was restored with a Paramount cartoon logo restored as well and it from the complete "Superman" cartoons DVD set. Both of these are from WB except Betty Boop is from Paramount, but you can see the Betty Boop shorts on "TheParamountVault" KZbin channel.
