I just got into University of Siena and am planning on applying for the scholarship through the region of Tuscany, but the applications don't open for a few months and it says the results aren't posted until September which is when my program begins. I'm anxious about the turn-around time being so fast, especially since I would be needing housing as an international student and assuming I start class in-person, I would need to be in Siena with housing before September 21 when classes begin. Did you have this same problem? I'm also wondering about the timeline because here in the states we need proof of residence and finances for the Italian student visa and I wouldn't have those things until the results of the scholarships came out.

Hii yes unfortunately most of the time the scholarships results come out in September and most of the time you have to be either in Italy or wait till the results are out to go to Italy. So most of the time people who have friends or family in Italy stay at their place before they can get accomodation with the scholarship or you have to book a hotel or hostel to stay in, But for classes most universities in Italy start in October, September is usually to finish up the admission process with the University. Also for classes it's realy not a big problem if you start late, you can always catch up and now most universities publish everything online. In my case I had my sister in Italy so I stayed with her before i was able to get accomodation with the scholarship. Also for the visa in my country they were not as strict so I presented a bank statement with some good amount of money in it and for residence you can book a hotel for few days and show it to the embassy that was what i did. Because even after getting the scholarship they will not give you proof of accomodation until once you are in Italy to sign some documents and then they hand you over key to your room. I would say if you present all the correct documents the scholarship board is asking for and your income is low, 98% of the time the international students do win the schorlarship.

Do the documentation have to be translated by an official translator and that's it or I have to take this documentation to the consulate to legalize the translation too? (I asked them if they legalized the documentation and they said no, they just legalize the translations), but I just want to know if it's necessary or not.

yes they have to be translated by officials recognized by the Italian embassy in your country. Every document going to Italy has to be legalized.

the scholarships ae based on family income that is they provide scholarships for students who come from low income families but usually the scholarship boards are different from the university so most of the time you will not find the websites on the university website. please check my videos I have mentioned different scholarships in different regions in Italy.

Hii the scholarship board usually publishes a list in their website with the list of students who have won the scholarship. There is no particular date because all scholarship differ with the dates so you have to control when the scholarship says it will publish the list

Hello Bianca, the visa is actually the last thing you apply for. You have to first apply to the universities once you get accepted you proceed to the pre-enrollment then once you are done with that you can apply for scholarship and then the visa.

Hii the family declaration you have to do it in your country. You simply have to declare and make a table with all your family members then state their occupation and all the income they earn. Then you also have to declare all the assets you have. You have to make this form then make sure you transalate it and then it has to be legalized.

No IELTS is not required if you studied in English in your country. (Imat) you mean entrance exam. If so there are no entrance exams inorder for you to gain admission in most Italian universities. Exception is usually in some limited courses that require only a number of students e.g medicine.

Hii you can go to Universitaly.it on this website you will find all the Italian universities offering courses in English. Then check the universities offering MBB and click on the website and apply directly on the university websites. So you have to see the application procedure and the documents each university is asking for.

Hii @Erinda so the document that is required to prove family finances is called family declaration form. It have to have all members of your family plus the income of each working person in the family. So there is no specific amount of money required in the bank. You just have to present a bank statement with a good amount of money.
