Fully Mastery Mace Sergeants!?! Any Good?!?

So new players get these for free? I just came back after a year break and couldn't figure out how to get these guys until I discovered the honor store in the unit tree where you can buy them for 10,000 honor.

This unit I can say is one of the safest, worthy unit that you can spend time and resources with. I've been playing with them for some time now and yeah, never ignore this unit on your barracks

Yeah i really love them, i use the cover commander doctrine because its like a shildars cover commander so they form a nice semi-circle in front of you and it makes them super agressive so i like to press cover commander, they go in the fight, then press meteor strike, but i agree it is not mandatory for good result, also you can buy multiple sheildmaiden blue doctrine in season store and 50 more defense is nice on them

Cover commander is a wasted doctrine slot. Makes them fight worse too. Shouldn't use it.

@@TheRogueJedii In initial testing yea, they didnt attack as fast, made poor ai choices with movement. You're much better off walking them or charging them in and pressing 2. Even saving the charge to use after as a heal as Plum said. With how powerful doctrines are rn due to the alch system, you cant waste a slot. Targeting blunt dmg and pen (to cap) is so big. Threw top doctrines at this unit and have 80-100 kill games with them in 5 star meta. Pound for pound one of the best units in the game for its cost next to oni musha.

They are a great unit to both new players and vets. They dont need to be resupplied so saving on bronze, they are a super simple unit that new players/vets can master, they can be obtained rather quickly then the other tier 4 an 5 units, and knowing that most games vet players can easily out play new players the maces help even the playing field for the new players to have a chance. Hopefully they add more like this since most of my friends cant fully get into the game because of how far behind they are.

Returning player with important question! How do I obtain these units? I cannot find them in the unit tech tree/war band/anywhere. I cannot complete certain quests because I cannot obtain the unit anywhere as far as I know. Please provide where these come from. I believe in you!

Naginata Monks, Ironcap Spearmen, Mace Sergeants = 450 Leadership all pretty viable, 1 with mobile brace, 1 with stupid defences, 1 with stupid offences and anti shield/block properties Then add Ironcap Spears, they kill almost everything with their charges, when doctrined up especially, 115 leadership 565 + 130 with Herbalists, + 30 with Martellatori, bam 725 Leadership ready for the start of next season

Love this unit. Still use it l as my third unit in my warband when i use 2 tier 5's in the other 2 slots. But i like mace boyz even more for how it helps newer players. The game needs more features, content, game modes, rewards, units etc. that benefit and aid newer players in this game. A huge thing holding it back is the mountain of progression and grinding laid before them. Its better now than when i started playing a long time ago and insee mygames doing stuff recently to help hope it continues and increases. I want a siege battle to be about strategy, skill and teamwork. Not about who has the most gigachad accounts like me on their team. Haha

Great unit. Would say they are a hard counter to ISGs. Sad that Iron Reaper flail isn't as strong and don't last as long as this low cost blue unit

Don't feel bad for the maul player. He is playing maul and he played his units poorly. If he had been more careful he would press the 2 on the onna musha and kill much of your unit if not winning the fight. With the stalwarts they were in a thin line so I suspect this is a new player or just plain bad because units go into a line when you press C for them to follow. Overall the amce dudes are awesome.

This means they did fulfilled their purpose well😂 they r so weak against ranged tho. Also, weak against heavy dmg units like reapers, they did couldnt kill even one of my reaper.
