In this video we to Murphys MX to compare my fully built Surron vs my KTM 250 SXF. With my new EBMX 72v battery, controller, and motor we were able to keep the speed somewhat close to a full sized dirt bike! I love my new surron can’t wait to show you guys what’s possible with this thing🤘

I had a dude on a decked out Suron roll up to me at an off road staging area and ask me about the trail system. Then he asked if he could just ride with me as we were both solo and he assured me he would not be holding me up in fact indicated quite the opposite. I smiled and said OK. Geared up and got ready. I'm 59 year old man on a 20 year old DRZ400, I think he was assuming he would be waiting for me. Most this area is semi gnarly single track. What he did not know is I am a very accomplished rider with over 40 years in the saddle and work in the motorcycle industry. 1/2 a mile into the trail I stopped and waited for him at an intersection. He said, "did you take a side trail, I lost our dust at one point but did not see a turn off"? Nope, been waiting here for a few minutes. He looked shocked. This has happened many times. Those things feel fast but your not hanging with a real bike all other things being equal. Sorry. A good buddy of mine with extensive MTB experience got one and we rode the same area. He actually did pretty good. Fun stuff.

the fun of it comes from low weight and torque, they are good at technical trails in forest etc

I 100% agree. I’ve got a decked out Ron and it’s nothing compared to a gas bike, however I still prefer riding the Surron because of how fast it feels. Ripping it on the trails is so much fun, but would never replace a gas bike. Get on a stark varg though and you might see a big difference!

I used to ride 125cc bikes for the same reason. SO fun and teaches you a lot. The VARG is a real dirt bike that in many ways is better than the gas counterparts. @@Overmotor

Feels fast? That Surron is probably 35hp at peak power maybe more, that is fast not just feels fast lol. 80 mph on a 135 Ibs bike is insane! The 250cc is going to perform better because it’s on a dirt bike track

You should fit a chain guide. I did om mine, no worries about derailing the chain. GREAT vid as always🔥💯✅️

I have but it would change the geometry too much I like to throw the bike around!
