Wow , Patrick Roy autograph. Loved watching him with my Avs and he is now again a coach with the Islanders and I hope he does well. Your channel is most entertaining and I agree with you, I swear people seem to want to believe conspiracies and lies more than what is right in front of their eyes. Obviously you are a Dryden fan and I have a PSA 9 Topps, from a raw set I bought in the 90s and later had the card graded. Incredible goalie!

Tried waiting for prices to come down. They went as low as 200 dollars CAD but didn't pull the trigger. The Tim Horton's 2022-23 set has a similar Jacque Plante that you have displayed at the back for those on a budget its the same picture. Borje Canvas is nice. Upper Deck had these in the Epacks a few months ago but didn't pull the trigger there either as they were pricey.

I always squirrel my boxes away when D&A and SSC are undercutting each other during big seasonal sales. I was pretty confident this product would deplete. D&A still has a few boxes. But, they may be all gone in Canada. There are still loose boxes on eBay. I like eBay for quasi-depleted products. But, the likelihood is they won't have the case hit autos in them. This said, I got my 2011-12 Panini Elite box on eBay for US $103, and it did land me the case hit. So who knows.

The comments you are talking about are probably also the same people that don't watch all your videos. If I only watch the videos where you get a case hit, then "you only pull fire and case hits...". I've been watching for a long time - you get plenty of 'meh' pulls the same as any hobbiest opening full boxes of products. You are playing the odds though - when you open multiple cases of signature edition...you are going to get some incredible hits! If you open up 1 box of something, you are just hoping for good luck! I’ve got 40k followers on Facebook and over time I’ve learnt to just ignore negative comments. They are generally so few and far between I really don’t care anymore. Conspiracy theorists just exist and you can’t block them out using filters😂 This is probably my favourite release over the last few years, good idea on one a month, but you may have peaked on that hit🤔 Hoping Roy can kick start my Islanders, however I think it will take more than that and a semi rebuild is needed………somehow.

Jamie, I hear you. Invariably when I speak to what has happened to our discourse, ppl tell me to ignore it. Don't give it a platform. But, since the inception of social media, I have chosen to push back forcefully by design. To my mind at least, it is precisely the delinquency of not governing social media that has gotten us to this point. The deterioration of our social discourse has undercut our decorum, norms, democratic instruments, elections, politics, journalism, science, and - most importantly - faith in objective truth and thus each other. By ignoring vicious falsehoods, they metastasize, and destroy our common good. I believe in advocated vociferously for what is right. All the online mockery, hate, trolling, division, and denigration must stop. We must hold ourselves accountable, and to a much, much higher standard. Worse, it is precisely these cynical behaviors that drive social media engagement and monetization, which is very difficult to combat. But, history tells us unequivocally that when it becomes natural for us to dehumanize each other, and rip apart our social contract by being neglectful, things do not end well humans. As you can tell from the comments on my threads, that is not happening on channel. I am not on this planet to monetize viral social media engagement fueled by destroying our faith in each other. I choose to live in a better world.

Ken, exactly. When we all created this secondary world where we exist almost entirely online, we no longer have any constraints about what we say or do. Ethics have not caught up with our use of technology. And, we wonder why we have lost faith in our democratic instruments, social structures, and fora to negotiate competing values. But, it is all the natural consequence of no accountability and, worse, monetization rooted in forms of engagement designed so that we emote and lose faith in each other. In fact, dehumanizing each other is the new normal. ...Historically dehumanizing others never ends well.
