Kobe has a family and only he can change his behavior. A good person not only learns from their mistakes but don’t call people bad unless it’s a crime that’s Been done several times. People change and if you can’t see that then you’re not a good person will a clear mindset.

JT Rich What he did that was wrong is cheat on his wife.. yes that’s bad but it’s not the end of the world and he’s more then made up for it. It means the world to hang out with friends and family but I can’t and I try to make time but my time is spent at work and home. My mother is my priority and I just pray everyone else understands my duties that don’t mean I don’t love anyone or don’t see the value in them I just tell everyone please let me know ahead of time so I can schedule my day I can’t do pop ups. I’m a LeBron fan but I have respect for Kobe which tells me I need to make time to go see LeBron play and that’s only if my mom is okay, remember she is my top priority.!

"The shadow is a moral problem that challenges the whole ego-personality, for no one can become conscious of the shadow without considerable moral effort. @christianabandabella2354 жыл бұрын
Indeed. During the fight, Kobe stops having his own shadow about the same time that he appears to be a bit full of himself. The shadow is some kind of precursor for the fall that may ensue if that dark impulse is not kept in check. And the shadow is not interested in playing fair either, as it teleports itself throughout the court as it sees fit. And then at the end, the hint is that more light and success brings also more potential for dark impulses, and more work on ourselves to overcome those dark parts of our minds. In particular, his previous trick would no longer work against all four shadows because of the added exposure to light: it is a never ending fight.

@@christianabandabella235 you sound more correct than the op. The shadow here isn't negative. It keeps him in check with his real "shadow" inside his head (which made him think I'm good enough I'm the best already no need to practice more). The thing here could be intepreted as he is aware of the "shadow in his head". That explains why the shadow comes alive (awareness). And then he won over it and control it to make it challenge him to become even better. The living shadow is like a product of his willpower after recognizing his inner shadow and making use of it.

No, this is a reference to Kobe’s younger days, he played shadow basketball in Italy, becouse no Italians wanted to play basketball with him during recess. (They’d rather play soccer). (Shadow basketball is basketball against your shadow.)

@thebananas64834 жыл бұрын
I also disagree. This could be a couple things depending on what you think the shadow is. 1) It's Jordan. Kobe did say right when he got into the league that he wanted to be the greatest of all time. This could be a metaphor for how Kobe's insane amount of time practicing in the gym was him trying to get out of Jordan's shadow. 2. It's his own shadow. This could be a metaphor for him battling his personal demons on the court. When talking about how the "Black Mamba" came to be, he mentioned how at the time, he felt like he couldn't control anything else in his life; so much was going wrong. But basketball, how he plays, that he can control. 3. It's his own shadow, but it's something more simple. It's just Kobe trying to get past himself, be better than he was yesterday. So many people have stories about coming into the gym to start team practice, and Kobe's already there, before anyone else, working at his game.
@tuckerhinkle45924 жыл бұрын
@ Mr. Bananas I’m not going to disagree with you, becouse those are 3 very good reasons. I’m just saying what I know from Kobe’s biography. But is it possible for it to be all 4 of our reasons? Becouse we all have pretty good reasons here.

What i got from this was to challenge yourself to be a better basketball player & there's always room for improvement even if it may seem as perfection. If you don't, you will fail. And he sees that when his shadow blocks his shot, so he picks himself up & keep pushing, & trying. At first you don't succeed, pick yourself up & try again

First of all: congrats. Concept, storyboard, character design. Brilliant. But for what i know about Mr Black Mamba... There's a little thing that don't feel right to me. If the opponent would be a person, I think that Kobe took every detail, skill, weakness for challenge him to the max. But against his shadow... take advantage of that limit made the character score, but in my mind, Kobe could think that seem a bit of cutting corners. Anyway: the character won't give up until the score. So... dedication. That's 200% KB.

@@nickrameau938 I hope to say something of understandable, i don't speak english as mother language. When you challenge another human opponent, when the kind of challenge is NBA, you *have* to gain vantage from any weakness of your opponent. You cannot leave anything back, you'll be considered not honoring the challenge. But into this clip KB whas challenging himself. So taking advantages of a limit of your opponent is just like cutting corners. At least, in my opinion... Hope it make sense now for you...

I never really watched him play, however I did get to witness what a genuine and passionate being he was. The love he had for the game, his team, his fans, and his family was always shining from his eyes and smile. I sobbed like a baby when we heard the news. I'm welling up again typing this.
