On the video you mention the socket being 14mm (F106n) but when you look at your fumoto size it’s 16mm ( F108n). Want to buy one but want to make sure it’s the right one. Thanks for the feedback in advance

Pretty sure if I order the exact same fumoto seen in this video, it will fit my stock af 09 impreza 2.5i H4 sohc non-turbo

Since the Fumoto valve sticks 1/2" into the oil pan, how will that oil right under the 1/2" get up and out of the oil pan?
@TheHumanCarJack6 жыл бұрын
Good question. I'd probably just unscrew it after draining most of the oil out using the valve
@BodhiBodesSchuyler6 жыл бұрын
The Human Car Jack that defeats the purpose lol

even with regular oil change you'll never truly get 100% old oil out. so with that little bit it wouldn't really hurt you as long as you do regular oil changes and with the F-valve it makes regular changes even easier

Did you leave the blue rubbery washer on when installing? Mine is on but slowly leaking oil, might just not be tightened down
@TheHumanCarJack4 жыл бұрын
Yep left it on with no leaks

I thought these took 4.4 qts of oil, not 5.4? Does the turbo model have a bigger oil pan than non-turbo models?

Did you hand tighten the valve or use a tool? If so, which tool? (I don't have very many tools in my kit) Also how do you like your ramps? I've been looking at rhino ramps on Amazon but I'm thinking metal ramps would be safer. PS I'm loving the background music

I've heard horror stories in regards to removing the Forester drain plug bolt. Did you ever have any issues with that? Stripping etc

I heard these valves dont completely drain out all the old oil completely like 98% only. still got 2% old in left inside.
@Eggsr2bcrushed6 жыл бұрын
So what... there's also tons more oil still coating all the surfaces and stuck in all the little nooks and crannies.
