Fun Championship Sunday with my son Micah at the Little League World Series

What a pleasant afternoon to enjoy a baseball game. Micah must have been thrilled to share it with his dad. That kid really drilled that home run. How old are these little league players? 😮

It was a beautiful day for baseball! I’m consistently amazed at the caliber of play by these young kids. We’re lucky to live so close to an event like this. Micah especially enjoys the sounds of the game, and the chatter coming from the Curaçao fans behind us had him (and me) entertained all afternoon. California scored early and had a 5-1 lead in the fifth inning until a player for Curaçao hit a grand slam to tie things up. There’s an electricity in the air that is hard to beat. You just had a feeling that something big was going to happen. The kid who hit the homer, Louis Lappe, is only 12 years old. I’m making note of his name because we may be hearing from him again someday soon.
