Today started out with a full rainbow over our town. I got a couple of pictures of it. Everyone was sharing pic of it on fb. A photographer sent a drone up and it actually covered the whole town! It was beautiful! 🌈

We enjoyed riding along with you on the road trip into Rome. We love that you added road names. We live far from Georgia, but riding along with you and Marie was fun. My husband had his Google map out and visualized the road map and comparing it to your video. It took over an hour to watch it because we rolled it back about 20 times to check out every intersection. Great 👍 video. It is raining here in northern California. We had a big wind storm earlier this week so we have been inside much of the day staying warm by the fire. Your barbecue lunch looked much better than my burrito 😊. I’ve been to that Goodwill. My daughter and I went back in October. We went to Provinos for our birthday (free dinner) then went to Goodwill. We didn’t really find much that night😊. In my opinion the very best Goodwill is the one in Calhoun. That one gets some of my money every time I go in there😂

Great to see yall out and about today. I have really got to go to Goodwill and see what they have. I love cookbooks. When I was working and a church or organization would have cookbooks for sale, I always had to buy them. I used to take Southern Living magazine and every year they would come out with a book with all the recipes in them, of course I would buy them. I love crystal so I might find some really pretty we call it cut glass. My sister goes on Tuesday when it is senior day in North Carolina. I do not know if all of them have the same days or not. I donated almost a truck load of stuff when I moved and now I wish I had some of it back, isn't that the way it always is, especially some of the clothes. Yall take care, always enjoy your videos.

I was a teacher of the Deaf for 43 years and once I spent about a week in Rome testing students at the Georgia School for the Deaf. I have two friends I taught with at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf who started their careers there. One started as a dorm parent and teacher, the other coached their football team and also taught. Their football team was actually pretty good at that time. That BBQ looked DELICIOUS! I don't buy cookbooks anymore. I had a huge collection but have gradually been giving them away. I collect recipes online and from KZbin and save them to a file on my computer. Like Marie, I read a lot and still want tangible books I can hold and turn pages. I'm your age and just can't bring myself to read books on a computer, therefore I'm running out of shelf space for books! I always loved Andy Williams and Moon River. I enjoyed your blog today!

Marie, we have the same tastes. I bought an old-fashioned radio very identical to that one with all the features Cal described years ago at a retail store called Big Lots and paid $70 brand new for it. There a huge supply and apparently couldn't sell them so reduced the price to $55 about no more than two months after I bought mine. Needless to say, I was not happy at seeing that. I still have it, and it is in very good condition. Getting yours for $40 was a bargain, and your $$ wasn't wasted. That sales clerk was very nice. Loved this video. Loved your excursion. It's good to treat yourself every now and then. Regarding hearing music in stores/businesses, one of our local Trader Joes plays oldies but goodies from the 1950s and 1960s, and it puts me in a good mood when I hear these songs I used to hear on the radio. Now, the music is a bunch of junk that's not worth listening to. (By the way, 50 cents for each cookbook is the way to go.😂) Bye,
