Nice lesson Alex! I like how if you play this sticking pattern on the just the snare drum it sounds pretty cool
@AlexRibchester9 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, also sounds really nice on the hi hats too.

This is extremely similar to "Move Along" By The All American Rejects which I have already learned but this'll give me a cool little lick I can throw in so thanks :)

You wanna know how good Alex's videos are? Look at the like/dislike ratio. Also, Alex mate, could you please do a tutorial on double tapping? I see all these awesome metal drummers and they can do it so fast, but I have no idea how. All the other tutorials aren't very precise, but I'm sure you'd be able to explain it nicely. Thanks in advance

As always a great grove Alex. Can you tell me what mic equipment I see in the overhead shot right of the floor tom? I couldn't see the name. I'm assuming you are running all your mics thru this? Thanks
@AlexRibchester9 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's a Roland R16. Easy to use and gets the job done :)

Did you get your inspiration for this from Throw Away Your Televisions? And your snare video two videos ago was that from Purple Stain's drum solo near the end? Perhaps a little chili peppers influence I might say ;)
@AlexRibchester9 жыл бұрын
Umm... There wasn't really any particular inspiration for this or the snare vid, I've kinda always used this as an accent based drum fill and thought it would work quite well as a groove. My biggest influences are bonham, copleand, abe Cunningham, travis barker, Steve gadd, Danny Carey, josh freese to name a few...

For me...the audio and visual are out of sync which makes it difficult to absorb.
