Check out this compilation of all the fun jumps that I went on during the 2019 season at Chicagoland Skydiving Center. A fun jump is a skydive that I paid to go on. Whereas because I'm a Skydiving Instructor, typically I'm getting paid to be on the airplane. These are the jumps where I'm just having fun in the sky with my best friends.

Great vid Schwarttzy. I haven't been to CSC in years. I only live an hour away from Rochelle in quad cities. I haven't been jumping much in last few years. But thank you for posting these awesome videos.

Great vid, and awesome location. I actually flew down here to eat at The Flight Deck last summer. One of the manifest dudes told my buddy and I that we should go up for an observation flight (free for pilot’s). It ended up being a sunset load and it was the coolest shit I’ve ever seen. I knew right then I was going to be a skydiver. I am now just waiting on a canopy course and water training to get my B license and have been jumping ever since. I just wish this place was closer to home as I would have done my training there. Everyone was so cool, I can’t wait to come back as a fun jumper this season. Hope to see you around!

I started my training 3 months ago at the Naperville, IL iFly in-door facility. At the the time of this post I have about 5.5hrs of drop time. Almost ready to get checked off for back-flight. My instructor has mentioned your location. Can you drop a link so I can start planning for my first skydive this summer?

Dude I want to do this SO bad!!!! But i gotta admit, I'm really nervous about it!! But I think that's part of the thrill. I'm not afraid of heights, but this still seems a bit steep! Also I have a feeling if i do it once, I'm gonna be hooked! Anyone got any advice about it for first timers?

Just book the jump and show up then you cannot back off

Baby steps. But like Films said just book it. Its non refundable so you just have to go through with it. Don't think about it at all. Just show up do what your told and you will have the best time of your life!

I'm the child of two former skydivers so that may be a little bit different. I began jumping this year at 24 years. I didn't have much memories of the drop zone because my parents stopped when I was like 4 years old so my childhood wasn't more related than anyone else to skydiving aside of the fact that my father was always talking about it and I've always wanted to do it since I was a kid. That's the background. I was having lots of things to think about, this year and my will of becoming a skydiver was in the back of my head burried in dust. I'm really afraid of height, just like my father. I had some problems with my work and it popped in my head. I was only wondering "How much is it ?" and was really unsure of just doing it but I wanted to call the skydiving club I had found just to know the cost of the french version of AFF. That's where my answer to your question comes. I called the club's president, asked him for the price to what he answered. Then, he just asked my email and told me which papers to sign like if I agreed doing it. Then I've just let go. The guy was smart. I gave my email, sent the papers and a month later I was on the DZ. After arriving at the DZ, we had two days on the ground before the first jump. I was so exited by the idea like you seem to be and afraid in the same time. The only difference between you and me is that for me it was written since I was born that I had to do it, even if it seemed crazy once it was happening. But I also was really afraid and this link between my life and this sport also brang more stress because I was afraid of discovering after all these years that I wasn't meant for it. I had done some bungee jumps before and am a huge fan of extreme sports but I knew from this experience that I could completely loose my cool during the wait before a jump from any height. So I was wondering how my brain would react to 15 minutes in a plane knowing that I'd have to jump from it. Then came the moment of the first jump. I take my gear on, I'm way too much exited to feel any fear. I sit in the plane, back to a calmer state but surprisingly... I wasn't feeling any fear. The plane takes of, I still don't feel it but I feel it trying to spread so I quickly remember what a fella told me "Breathe deeply, exhale slowly.". The little spark of fear died after that. The plane's door opens, I'm the last to exit with my instructors. Still no fear. I get to the door and *bang* I'm just thinking " Hum, well... you know what ? HELL NO !". Right after thinking that, I look at my instructors, my mouth says "OK !" and we jump. At the end of the season, just a month and a hal after obtaining my AFF, I had 27 jumps. And now I'm going to morroco as french's federation moves to there during winter and I can't wait the next season. Skydiving is not something you should think too much about. You either do it or you don't, I think. I'd say that it definitely is a spiritual experience but for the first jump, don't get too spiritual, don't think twice. And even if you don't keep on practicing after you did it, you'll know that it's not your thing. But in order to know, you have to try it.

@@greg5478 Awesome story dude! You make a great point. “You either do it, or you don’t”. The difference between someone who dreams about it, and someone who does it is just a matter of taking that first step, and contacting the DZ.
