bonsai block on amazon, added pumice and a small amount of regular soil and you're good to go with succulents! this mixture has changed the fame for me. Water when the leaves feel a bit softer and good to go! If you want ones that have color, they keep it better in strong light. Strong light will also keep them from stretching and keep their form compact. Hope this helps your succulent journey!
