text colouring can also be done with §. for example §4 is red and §c is red but §k shifts through symbols, also: §l is bold and §o is italicized (for bedrock at least)

You can also type paragraph (§) and then a letter to get colour in minecraft. §a, for example, will make the words green. §l = bold words, and §k means cursed text. You can experiment to get different colours. (I play on bedrock, so I don't know if it's on Java too, you can try if you're on bedrock)
