I know of Lexington as the state capitol and horse breeding country. Never been in that part of KY but I did read of the city in a couple of books by written by Naomi and Ashley Judd. That's the extent of it.

Brought back alot of old happy memories. It definitely was a busy weekend! I remember my dad taking me grocery shopping -- its a great memory. I was able to buy all the things that I wouldn't normally be able to get. Brecken is fortunate that you take her clothes and grocery shopping. The food looked wonderful! Going off 2 days is ok, it was a special weekend. Kitties are adorable!

Walking around Lexington with you was indeed a blast. I have never been to Kentucky. And it's delightful. In the beginning of your video you were in an ice cream shop and I was trying to read the menu so fast to decide which one I would order. The menu just got better and better and my tongue was ready to dive in. Haha! It's true the big malls just don't exist like they use too and it brought back memories of those days and we would always get a big soft pretzel dipped in parmesan and they were to die for. Brecken, loved seeing your kitties and you always have such a good time being with your mom. Thank you again for taking us to new and fun places through your video's Renee. I love them because I think these video's have a hidden gem. That gem is that we get to experience the joy and the life of these video's thru your camera lens. The power in that is I feel I am with people I know and friends that make me laugh. The ambiance is always uplifting and I feel like I went on a little trip. It registers in the heart where memories are stored. Connections are made and I think your video's are special and I greatly appreciate the joy you and your family and 🐾🐾🐾🐾 give us. And how many times did I type the word video's? It's embarrassing. 😀👀😺🎬

Sake isn't really a liquor or spirit. It's a type of rice wine (that's the closest analogy to western alcoholic drinks). Like western grape wine, there's many different "sweetnesses" and types (and it's not drank *hot* in Japan - it's just lightly warmed at the most).

I love going to the tailgates at my XO daughter’s university! The Greeks set up tents outside the stadium and the frats serve free drinks and food.

We have The Mall of America in Minnesota which is built in the area of my husband and my apartment in Bloomington Minnesota which was right next door to the Met stadium wherein the Twins and Vikings used to play and next to that was the ice rink for the Minnesota Northstar hockey team now in Dallas. We literally could walk to the games. My husband loved it. Me, eh. The Mall took over everything. It’s so big (and dangerous) that is has its own police force. I never go there. I’ve been a few times, but never again. You’re right.

Tailgating is usually in the parking lot if the game before the game and people cook all kinds of food out there and eat before the game.

@Pam Dawson, Vicky Kaether is correct, but we also use the term tailgating to refer to a vehicle following another too closely. The entertaining definition of tailgating comes from the days when station wagons were popular family vehicles. They had a tailgate in the back. You'd load up the back of the station wagon with your coolers of food/beverages and your portable grill, drive to the game, park, then flip down the tailgate and get the party started! Nowadays people drive minivans or SUVs, but the term "tailgating" is still used for the pregame cookout/picnic. Oh, my, did this take me back to my college days!! I've been out of undergraduate school for about 45 years now!! But seeing that brought back so many memories, especially my grad school days (got my Ph.D. from Florida State and lived about 3 blocks from the stadium, so we'd walk to the stadium to see the games; we'd arrive after kickoff and if the stadium wasn't sold out, we could get in for free (grad student--couldn't afford a ticket!!). Thanks for taking me back, I enjoyed the trip back to college and grad school. You've been so gracious to share with us, wanted to share a couple of things with you.
