Reminder that the stupendium uses they/them pronouns

Stupendium (they/them) has always seemed to have a focus on production value to enhance their awesome lyrical prowess (plus great vocals and periodic animation chops). I mean sure, their older videos featured much more limited levels of production, but they've improved over the years. Still, I don't think I've heard a Stupendium song i haven't enjoyed, even going back to their first song ("Amateur Wordsmith," remade with an extended/updated version released a couple weeks ago, and then encored with an absolutely stunning sequel just a few days ago). They seem to always manage to hide little treats of puns and multiple meanings buried in the lyrics and/or use the most imaginative wordplay while rapping/singing in-character (even doing in-character outros for the past couple years, complete with a little gag at the end of the outro). Please do peruse their catalogue and pick another one to share your reaction to (Just keep in mind "Ad Infinitum" is meant to be overstimulating/too much if you're not ready and prepared for it)

I definitely want to check out more work from them! This is only the second song ive listened to but they certainly have a way with truly embodying the game in every aspect of the song and i LOVE that!
@tschillintsoulntai92857 ай бұрын
@@SlayWithBrandy they do go hard into the lore it seems, though sometimes also the memes (no spoilers, though 😉). If there's a game you know well that they've done a song on, you'll almost assuredly find a selection of doubles(or even triples) hidden in there if you pay close enough attention. Usually it's wordplay but sometimes there is something there somewhere in a scene or two that an unawares viewer may think is just fluff or filler. They just hit 1M YT subs 2½mo ago and many of us can't understand why it's taken so long.

when it comes to stupendium, one of their music videos is NEVER complete without at least one both time consuming and particularly intricate prop that will likely not be used for another video, they are amazing and is one of the few modern rappers i like (lets face it, nerdcore rappers are not generic like mainstream rappers, at least nerdcore rappers its actually good and different between artists, that and any "fighting" is usually purely comedy, good natured and playful, or some times just a playful way to give a smaller nerdcore rapper shout out)

Given your plays recently of Alan Wake 2, you might want to also check out Stupes' video 'The Ribbon', their *amazing* musical take on Alan Wake 2.

Tbh, as good of a job as they did on this music video, I don't think Stupes is likely to revisit Poppy again since, well, MOB Games decided to release that set of Poppy Playtime NFTs back in 2022 and those sorta scummy practices didn't sit well _at all_ with a lot of anti-corporate and generally Leftist people... But scrapping this music video wasn't really an option for Stupes either since, well, I'll just quote what they, themselves, said in the Toybox description: "This was a big, expensive project with months of work behind it and despite the unpleasantness that has surrounded the game of late, I was not in a position to be able to cancel the project so far along and throw away all of that work. The loss of time and money would have been crippling." Regardless, they've got a whole lot of other amazing music and videos to watch, listen and react to, so it's not like there's a lack of content to enjoy on their channel anyway, and I really like seeing reactors give The Stupendium some love and attention. ^^ Aside from The Stupendium, may I recommend Miracle of Sound as well as Aviators? Their videos may not be all that impressive, but their music, most of it nerdom-adjacent, is really nice... With the upcoming release of _Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth,_ why not give Miracle of Sound's _Final Fantasy VII: Remake_ tracks a listen just to see what their music is like? Or, considering the recent _Elden Ring_ DLC trailer's release, why not spare a glance at their and Aviators' _Elden Ring_ tracks? (They've got a lot of tracks from other games in FromSoftware's library, my personal favourites being their _Bloodborne_ songs, especially "Paleblood Moon" and "A Thousand Eyes", but I dunno how into those games you are, and going with something that'll help you out in the algorithms may be the most pragmatically wise option atm.)

Didn't Stupes accept a gig from Mob where they hosted a "training" video (with guest appearances of the life-sized Huggy as the assistant to the presenter)

@@SlayWithBrandy Understandable. I mean, what they did here _was_ very impressive. But I (want to) think that Stupes is too idealistic to look between their fingers.

@@GrahamChapman the thing is, in the pinned comment of GTlive's reaction to said Poppy Playtime News video, Stupes states Mob provided the concept brief and that they sent the rough cut to Mob for editing, effects, & post production
