I have a an old stack of index cards from my ICAD days when my little grandkids would "paint' along side me. I'm down to the weird muddy painted card smudges now. These whimsical cats would be the perfect use for those cards. Use the cards, honor the grandkids artistic abilities... I love this idea!

A CLOWDER, that's IT! Gladys, you have no idea, I was trying so hard to think of that word while I was filming, and I couldn't come up with it. I was thinking "clutter," which I guess is also acceptable, but I wasn't sure and didn't want to get it wrong...and "clowder" is by far the cooler option. Was right on the tip of my tongue, but not quite there. In any case, please have fun with your own dear clowder of cats, and thanks for watching!

I bet ha triangles for the body and head could make many of the tall, slender dogs. Upright for body and down facing on top for the head - also the ears could be triangles up or down (folded) … you can do it!!! Around 28:28 if you study the layout of your cats - while you’re gluing the family into the pocket. One could surely animate the moment! The cat between the stacked cat troupe and the family looks a little insecure at the moment as “why am I all alone here?” (Lost in the crowd? Or wondering if he’s adopted?). The cat with the spectacles seems rather analytical about the whole scene and wonders what word he could use to describe this awkward situation. But the pink cat above? She’s quite content far above everyone in her catnap dreams. I know, I’m just going on and on. I had seen the video was posted around 2:30 am. I so wanted to watch it. But I had been awake all the time before and knew one of two things would happen. I’d fall asleep - which would have been the better option because I didn’t get to sleep until after 5 am. Or I’d lay awake thinking about the video. Is that a lose lose situation or what! I’m still waiting to hear whatever it was you said which I want to mention. Meanwhile on pause YT has apparently gone to screen saver modes and I looked up to see on my too large tv the thumbnail of the cat family making faces at me. The mother is shocked that she sees into my living room. She’s blushing! Oooh!!! The little guy is tickled pink (ha ha) bc he fooled his mother. And papa cat is just not amused with any of this. Get me out of here!!! So I think I recall at least somewhat the word/phrase you used which caught my attention. We wear out the word “love”. Koine Greek has several words each depicting the type of love - family, fellowship, etc. I don’t know if they have one for our overuse of the word. However I believe what you said is you “really appreciate(d)” something which people would most often say love(d) instead. I like the use of that. I might glance through the transcript if there is one just to verify. And yes, getting caught in the story of a torn piece of book page happens through the screen while watching a creative journal vid!! ❤😂 I wonder how many textos (auto messes) are in my comments. I have proofed my comments 😂😂😂 ❤❤❤

I feel like I’d reply to you back and forth if we were talking in real time. Also, I saw the whimsy journal and the page you first put the kitty pile against. It was beautiful on that page for sure. And that page was so tidy and cool. Sewing. Straight. On paper. Wow! I have never paid attention to thread tension and didn’t give any learning room to it. Shows when I sew! I’m looking forward to doing some whimsy stuff and journal. I’m actually working on the accordion hinge journal I started and left in 2022. I just put my little novelty bird - the first ones you showed us I think, in that journal. I had fancied up the paper it was in so it went well with some items of birds and a picture of a watercolor of my maternal grandmother feeding chickens many years ago. A 98 yo man did that watercolor and others. He boarded with my grandmother in the mid 1900’s.

Hi Anne! Love all of these whimsical animals! What kind of glue do you use? I think I hear art glitter glue? Does it have glitter in it or is this a brand name? I love how it seems to be such a thin amount but flows quickly. Did you make the stopper with the beads or does it come with it?
@annekenlon7 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for watching! The name of that terrific glue is one of the most confusing in all the craft world! The company that makes it is called Art Glitter, so everyone using the glue refers to it as "Art Glitter Glue" even though there is absolutely no glitter in it. It's a plain white glue and is perfect for crafting because it's strong and dries quickly. It's available on Amazon but I also enjoy supporting smaller craft retailers, so I get mine from MayMay Made It (she's based in Alabama and a well-known KZbin crafter.) I recommend getting the larger bottles and then you can refill your small ones. I also recommend the small metal nozzle that is sold separately. It helps with precision application and also creating the small line of glue, which is really all it needs. I get the bead stoppers on Etsy - lots of them available there - just search for "glue bottle stopper" and you'll see lots, and they are inexpensive. Hope this helps. Thanks for your interest!

Hi, and thanks for a great question! I found this design in an uncredited photo on Pinterest, and it was for ceramic jewelry. I always check as thoroughly as I can to see if there is an artist or image owner I should credit, but I couldn't find any. I certainly haven't copyrighted it - so far as I can determine, it's in the public domain. I could never be 100% sure of that, though. That probably doesn't help much, but that's my take on it. Oh the cat’s meow!! And just because I wanted to be certain about the phrase before it’s “printed”. Here’s what Wikipedia says: “”The cat's meow," an expression referring to something that is considered outstanding; coined by American cartoonist Thomas A. Dorgan (1877-1929) The Cat's Meow (1924 film), a 1924 lost silent short film starring Harry Langdon.” Trivia. The cat’s meow. This man I worked for told me the word trivia developed (I believe in Rome) where three (tri) roads (paths/via) intersected and people began posting various tidbits of information/messages for other travelers. Trivia. He had a very thick book on trivia. Don’t know what the book was called. Trivia. So, about the cats!! A-door-able! (Tricked ‘auto mess me up’ with “door”!) Touché! Oh dear this comment just gets longer and longer. Enjoy? That paper you assembled the troupe upon is really pretty. And that last somewhat green cat (bottom left) strangely enough somehow the color appears within the stripes but if you study the stripes, that color isn’t actually there. A word for that beyond illusion? Dunno. But there is one for artistry I’m certain!! You said something I really liked … I’m having to rewatch to catch it as my head is full of other thoughts at the moment! Ya think? Meanwhile you surprised me when you demonstrated the “good” hearts have right angles! No WONder my freehand hearts are pointy (skinny tips)… but so are the other ones, pointy. Now I know why my freehand hearts never get “fat”. Will I be able to conquer that I wonder? What was missing on the cat? I thought, legs. No (well yes too) but whiskers! How could I miss that! 🙄 I didn’t know (remember?) orange cats are called marmalade. Of course. It actually works better in my opinion than ginger due to the variety of orange coloration. Your freehand finishes of the cat features are quite nice and precise so they turn out purrfectly sweet. There are two phrases I’m waiting to hear again. Hopefully the first one (mentioned above) isn’t missed because I’ve been typing this out. And I want that first phrase to finish this off!!! I will post this and be back to complete my observations. 😮😊 ❤❤❤ Meanwhile, for your grandson What does a 500 pound canary say to a cat? Lower your voice very deep and say “Here kitty kitty!” 😂😂❤
