Ooo, they are beautiful! I laughed at how the wrapper for the burnt sienna is not at all like the paint's color XD

Yeah, by a bit. But I checked the swatches so I actually knew what I was getting, I was not expecting for the Dragon's Blood to be so close to it. Mumble mumble.

Those are some gorgeous colours. I think Dragon's blood is my favourite, for the name alone lol :)

Not planning to. :P Next wage coming in is already spent on Kremer pigments. I am debating on their Cadmium set; awesome because it's a rare pigment nowadays, not that great because it's toxic, hence why people shy away from it. In alternative, I already have some good pan choices that will fit me well. :D

I am trying to get the pigment numbers for these watercolours for some time. Zecchi keeps silence. The labels do not have this information as well, right?
@KarijnsWatercolors3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not, I just checked again in my sketchbook but I can't find anything more than the name of the color...

I contacted Zecchi and they sent me a PDF list of the pigments for each color

I think that although these are marketed as Zecchi, they are made by the same Polish company that does Renescens. Can anyone confirm this? My suspicion comes from the identical graphics used. I have a Zecchi 48 pan set.

I've checked the label from Zecchi's pans and looked for Renesans' online (I have the tubes, not the pans of that brand) and they look nothing alike, at least the current version. Renesans' has the lion symbol on it, while Zecchi's has a stylized flower symbol along with the brand name. In truth, if I had to suspect two brands being the same based on the label graphics, it would be Zecchi's with the other Florence manifacturer of watercolors, DiVolo. I looked online if I could find any other information but all I found is a Flickr post that claims that Zecchi's colors are done by Renesans and then re-branded, but offers no evidence to support this suspicion. Can we see a picture of your labels?
