Really cool to see such well done Videos on Functional Analysis, this would've been a blast to have when i took the course two years ago :) I guess the predone writing is not your handwriting (if it is you blew my mind) how ist this font called?

I am a romanian math student and I want to help teenagers with math problems ( mostly college not university, I'm not that smart yet :)) ) and I love watching your videos so I want to do the same but in romanian so that everyone in my country can understand. Hey! Ich habe eine kurze Frage bzw bin mir bei folgendem unsicher: Nach Voraussetzung ist ja jeder Operator aus der Familie beschränkt, also insbesondere eine beschränkte Abbildung auf der Einheitskugel. (korrekt)? Aber natürlich keine global beschränkte Abbildung.. Was lässt sich jetzt aus der Aussage des Satzes besonderes sagen? Die Familie ist ja laut Aussage gleichmäßig beschränkt bzgl der Operatornorm. Wo ist der Unterschied dazu, dass jeder einzelne Operator beschränkt ist? LG und vielen Dank für deine gute Arbeit!

Hallo. Danke für die Frage und das Lob! Ich verstehe die Frage vielleicht nicht so ganz. Du musst natürlich beachten, dass die Familie unendlich viele Mitglied hat. Und jedes Mitglied hat seine eigene Operatornorm als reelle Zahl. Nun soll die Menge von reellen Zahlen einfach von oben beschränkt sein.

@@brightsideofmaths Ja, die Frage ist vielleicht etwas undeutlich gestellt, aber du hast sie richtig verstanden. Vielen Dank! Hieße das also auch, dass die Aussage für eine endliche Menge von beschränkten Operatoren sofort (ohne die Punktweise Konvergenz) folgen würde, weil das supremum über eine endliche Menge immer existiert?:)

It's already 3/4 of this series and things are getting really ... um, ungraspable for my mind. Sometimes I couldn't know the meaning and purpose of some definitions and theorems. Examples are good for the understanding; examples of the result of violating the conditions of the theorems may be helpful for better understanding of the purpose of the theorems.
