This N trick is really neat, thank you so much Ms. Havrot, I am a student from Mississauga and you are literally the BEST teacher that can easily explain these concepts so easily, I've never even heard of the N trick before but now my mind is blown. Thank you so much again! Subscribed as well.

Hello! I was a student with an average of 75%..I am a student at mississauga and you made me pass my last test with a 98%! I'm really glad you're helping me through this. Your notes are amazing! Would it be possible for you to photograph your notes and upload them to kami and post them in your comments somewhere so us students can view them. Thank you miss! :)

You made all of our high school life easier! I really appreciate all the effort you’re putting in! I have a request if you could do some lessons from the ib textbook (grade 9), my sister is in need for some great help. I’d really appreciate it! Have a lovely holiday miss! :))

Sorry for the late reply. I’m out of town. I don’t have that textbook. But I do have the grade ten academic lessons which might be helpful.

Wow, the way you explained everything so simply finally made me get rid of any doubts I had with the topic. Like other's have said, I loved how you encorporated the "N" trick and is definatley something I'm going to use going forward. I just want to thank you so much for this playlist as I can finally understand my Trig lessons without mindlessly flipping through the homework apendix and the messy lesson notes/packages we are given.

when solving for theta, how would you proceed if instead of sin(theta)=0.624, but rather csc(theta)=0.624, thanks
@mshavrotscanadianuniversit623421 күн бұрын
First you need to know that when you find a sine or cosine ratio the value will always be less than or equal to 1. This is because you are taking the ratio of the opposite or adjacent sides over the hypotenuse. Because the hypotenuse is always larger (or equal to) the adjacent or opposite sides. Example let’s say your hypotenuse has a measurement of 5 and your adjacent side is 3 and the opposite side is 4. Your ratios will be 3/5 and 4/5. Now let’s say you want to find the cosecant ratio which is hypotenuse over opposite. The ratio will be 5/4 which is greater than one. What I am pointing out is that you would never have cscθ = 0.624. Back to the how to …. Let’s say your cscθ = 1.234 to find the value for θ you would first find 1/1.234=0.81 and then you can simply use sin-1(0.81) = 54.14° (approx).

I am really struggling to remember which inverse equation (csc, sec, and cot) belong to tan, cos, and sin. Do you know a way to help memorize their connections to one another?
@mshavrotscanadianuniversit6234Ай бұрын
I always told my students that long ago they used stone tablets to write on. The person in charge of writing the inverses made a mistake. Basically you would think that cos should go to cosecant and sine to secant but the person in charge messed up but it was too late. 😂 tangent to cotangent is the only one they got right.

Great if that’s the truth, great if it isn’t as well, as to struggle means that you are working towards understanding. Not struggling at all could mean that you aren’t being challenged. 😊
