The reason I am not buying a car because I dont want to pay 1. 28% GST 2. Registration charges 3. Life time road tax 4. Toll for the roads (for which roadtax is already paid.) 5. Bribe to RTO and unjustified fines. 6. Hepty "NonGST" tax on petrol 7. And all these from the money on which I already paid Income Tax. I think one of the reason for slowdown was bs4 -bs6 confusion.. for a middle class family buying a car is a huge expense..they don't change their cars so frequently..so they think it is better to wait for 6 months till bs6 engine car comes out.. instead of buying a bs4 and regretting later...

I am not buying a car because as you said it is right to take an Ola or uber (all my needs are satisfying through that segment then why should I buy a car. If at all I want to ride a car, I can take zoom car also) Moreover electric vehicles are coming into market and also the government has given tax benefit for it, so I can wait and buy an electric car. One more thing govt has insisted auto sector companies to stop BS IV vehicles so the companyies may sell these vehicles with huge discounts in more or less time.

No one is discussing emission norms, we jumped from BS3 to BS4 and then directly to BS6 skipping BS5.. which led to price hikes, as no one wants to buy a vehicle which is costly and less efficient. Ofcourse it is good for environment.. but this is the main reason for slump in the automobile sector along with rise of OLA and Uber and good subsidies on EV along with rise of EV startups like Aether, Ultraviolet and Okinawa.

Highlighting Few Important Points Missing is this video 1) Tata motor represents around 100 subsidiaries as per annual report 2019. 2) They has changed from leading in passenger vehicle industry to HULV ( high utility vehicle (tucks and buses) and have raised market capital in it (Government orders) as huge roads are been built by this government demand is also huge . 3) And the technology which tata owns from JLR is so huge 4) They would kill the electrical vehicle market 5) Please read the annual report before selling the stock.

Liked the way you've Explained. This is my opinion on Why I am not purchasing a New Vehicle.? 1. It's a depreciating asset. But that is one way to look at it. 2. Incurring cost. A petrol driven car (Grand I10) will cost me approx. Rs. 6-8/km considering the fuel and Maintenance. Insurance and EMI's are additional. 3.Electric Car - this point you covered. Yes, we're waiting for the same. 4. Poor infrastructure for Electric vehicles, Range Anxiety and huge Costs are again greater challenges in Vehicle Segment. Here's my opinion/suggestion: 1. Carmakers like Tesla should be allowed an entry in Indian market with a condition of working with Indian Automobile Manufactures. 2. In case of JLR, I feel the manufacturing unit if built in India, will significantly reduce the costs and help build volumes of TML. I am not sure about the response of a global market. 3. India should really build on infrastructure when it comes to power segment. We receive lot of Solar Energy. In the end, we're a cost driven market. A common person make a purchase based on Price, Incurring costs and longevity.

Now coming to auto sector the following could be the reason 1) BS6 transition wait for the new vehicle and buy it. 2) Wait for an electric vehicle. 3) Job Scenario - If the job market is stable and if no job cuts are expected it will go up. 4) A new dimension I got from a friend you also mentioned parking but if you have a parking in a flat purchase it could additionally cost you 3 lakhs for a parking. So for a five lakh car my parking is 3 lakhs. You remember elephant is Re. 1 and the stick to control is Rs. 1000. 5) Unless we reduce population, try to earn on our merits without putting the pressure on the Government it will take a longer time for a lifestyle. There is a difference between surviving and standard of living.

The reason im reluctant to by car is because of two main reason- 1. Say if I wanna buy a car I have to pay loan of 10% interest, being a techie I will have chance to go for outing only on weekends, lets say 8days. Out of days I usually be at home relaxing one of my weekend days (Sat or Sunday) so it will come down to 4 days hardly if i go out in month. Just for the sake of 4 or 6 days usage in a month is it good idea to spend 5-6L for a car? I dont think so my personal opinion. If i can invest the same amount that spending on car you can spend the interest or Dividend amount from your investment for OLA or Uber or Public tranport. It also create Job opportunities for OLA or Uber drivers. NOTE - MOST OF THE EMPLOYEES IN CITIES THEY WILL HAVE TRANPORT Facility FROM THEIR ORGANIZATIONS. 2. If I don’t won a car I need not to worry about Insurance, car maintains fee, Parking, more importantly avoid driving the vehicle in Traffic. Compliment for you - I wanna you have awesome teaching skills that make viewers to glues to their seats and watch you channel. Trust a human brain can efficiently concentrate for 40mins class but your skills are making me to focus more than that.

Hello Madam I think if I buy a car of RS 10 lakh then i have addition monthly expenses like parking charges, car maintaince charges , insurance , pollution ,fear of getting huge amount of challan by RTO and extra and overall petrol prices are also high . And if i invest that 10 Lakh in fd i would get around 70000 per annum @ 7%of return . so i would prefer ola , uber, shuttle that will cost be low without any tension i can travel

I'm no expert . But to answer your question as a layman, here are my 2 cents. A 10 year car is still working fine. The quality of the cars which have come out in the past 5 to 8 years has been quite good and the replacement cycle has increased considerably in the years.People looking at a new car with envy (or pride depending on which side of the table ) has fallen considerably over the years An ola and Uber and metro have added to their woes, My example driving 50 km (in Bangalore) for a weekly meeting takes me 2 hrs ( through toll road) costs me Rs 375 for petrol + toll of Rs135 = Rs510. Now I drive 12 km and take a metro + auto for last mile cost me (Petrol 90 + Metro 35 + Auto 25) = 150 and all in 1 hr 10 mins. I drive to the metro because I stay a little away from the city. I'm actually fresh and in a much better state of mind when I arrive at the destination. The car industry has not given a substantial tech shift to go in for a new car. there has been no significant new offering (with the exception of blue tooth audio, maps, which is more from the tech idustry used in the auto industry). There is talk of self driving cars, electric car, auto parking, etc. Nothing on the ground. Unless the car industry is able to create a buzz like a mobile phone manufacturer, they would have no choice but to behave like a petulant child running up to the FM looking lost. Why would I want to go in for a new car ? PS. I bought a new car last year exchanging a 11 year old car which was working perfectly fine. I regret the decision to this day.

Mam, I feel part 2 of this vedio is much needed, because of 3 fundamentals difference happened due post covid as explained by you. 1. The ola, uber trend is reduced drastically and it recorded loss of 95% in quarter. 2. There is steep growth in 1st time car buyers 3. The safety and new Motor vehicle act has given wings to Tata motors as currently its only the 1st company to have more than 4 models of cars who passed 4star crash test. Coming to financial fundamentals. 1. You explain wonderful but I am sure u must be aware tata motors is trying to spin off its PV segment post 119% growth in feb 2021. 2. If PV becomes seperate entity there will a separate FPO or IPO may come into picture to cure the commercial losses. 3. Electric vechile segment also faced a legal issue from Delhi govt but seems like the case is going in Tatas favor. 4. Agree Tata& Tesla news is a rumore but Tata is planning to set up huge infrastructure for ev charging stations as by end of July 2021 they are launching 3 EV vechile Altroz electric Tata share performance in 18mnths it did exceptionally well the day when you upload the vedio it was 118rs approx now its 3 time of it. Even after zero sales in 3 mnths locked down it plungued to 350 in March 2021. The month on month sale is pulling the candle and stick above 300and it seems like it will go above 900rs by dec 2021. Dude it has annual sales of more than 2.5L Crores. When newly founded tech companies with no pathway to generate income have valuations more than 30X of sales, I don't see anything wrong with TaMo with TATAs expertise. EV is the future & Tata Grp have all necessary companies around it to build ex. Power, Chemicals...etc. Moreover their India sales have doubled from 6% to 13% volumes. JLR has 1.5L cars orderbook which is more than quarterly sales because of chip shortage. Give it some time and you'll get to see the growth.

Gr8 Analysis.. I have been in stock market for over 8 years. Today while Iam writing this Tata Motors is at 68 Rupees, further downward expected... But after your video Tata motors and other automobile stocks moved up handsomely for a while but crashed like anything. At present i would suggest to buy airtel @ 430 for tgt of 560 rupees, Itc @ 155 for tgt of 230 rs... short to medium term. Investors with high risk appetite can look at buying yesbank @ 20 to 24 rupees and vodafone idea @ 3.15 rupees. Yesbank and vodafone idea can be multibaggers in a year. This is just my opinion based on my experience and analysis please do your analysis also..
