Amazing, but as a beginner, I'm wondering why the creation of new data records works without establishing a relationship (table occurrences between MyData and Timer)?
@ProductiveComputing2 жыл бұрын
@Hello Hendrik Maaß Thank you for your question. If you start watching again from here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/noWZaYxmbph5l7M you'll notice that shortly after we start configuring the add-on, we decide to change the table occurrence referenced by the layout. This means the layout (where we add new records) actually references the table occurrence where the timer sample data is stored. Therefore, when we add a new record, it's actually adding that to the sample data table directly where no relationship is needed. In other words, layouts can reference any single table just by switching that option while in layout mode. Had we not switched the table occurrence originally referenced by the table when we first created the file, then yes, we would have needed some form of relationship and/or script to add new records to the sample data table from the layout we started on. " Hopefully, that all makes sense! Glad to hear from you as a beginner. Enjoy your Claris journey and check out Productive Computing University for more training...
