Hi both a correct. Though may konting diff. sa value ng bearing capacity factors, in the end, the results in safe dimension of foundation is the same or almost.

Yes sir. Kung gusto nyo manually mag design ng foundation. Pero madalas naman po, dapat kasama na soil investigation report yung recommended size ng footing at any given na depth. Hope this will help.

Meron sa NSCP chapter 3 na table but hindi sya applicable for soils with problematic condition or may presence ng water. But to use the table, the soil should alteast be classified.
