y'all crushed this one. I'm pretty good at keeping track of my pitch, but feel like I've been neglecting the improvement of this skill.

I also really like to write down my hands and the cards I pitch or sink for each hand as I practice games. It gives you a nice column of data that you can look at and analyze. Sometimes pitch stacking specific cards seems like an objectively best play but by data-fying pitch stacking you can find better ways to play your hands for long-game threats

I like that you hit on the importance of doing a quick postgame review to evaluate your stack and your play. More, please!

Phenomenal video and concepts! Something else to mention and discuss is how to work with a pitch stack that you know is bad. Meaning, if you are forced into pitching/bottoming cards that mess up or shouldn’t be together. How do you work around it and how to overcome it? Examples would be getting hit with oaken old, Rhinar intimidating certain cards that force you into blocking/pitching cards you would rather not, as well as drawing odd 1st cycle hands that lead to having to pitch odd sequenced cards. Great stuff all the way around! Looking forward to the next video!

What, if any, pitch stacking do you do when running search and shuffle effects in your deck?
@CardAdvantage
@CardAdvantage 2 жыл бұрын
Sean is thinking about doing a video on this, since he tends to play Katsu, Dash, and Briar (who all shuffle a lot depending on build). But roughly speaking, for decks that shuffle a lot you don't need to sweat too hard with your pitch stack. What is more important is your "threat density" which best describes: - How many strong cards do I have left in my deck (relevant to the matchup. Could be defense reactions or otherwise) - What synergy/combos can I make with what's left - How did my most recent shuffle (assuming its a nice and random shuffle) affect how what's left in my deck will play? For instance, Katsu rarely blocks or plays blues, so when he shuffles, he is ensuring that he is less likely to draw all blue hands later in the game.
