The Foot Path is difficult, inspiring and beautiful. More info below:
Some tips and things we learned:
We took 3-1/2 days to complete. From St. Martins to Fundy National Park. The total of the Fundy Footpath is 44kms (roughly- they're changing some things and have updated the guide book after we did it). Then you have to hike to Fundy park. You can take the new trail which is 12kms (I think), or the old Goose River Trail which is 8kms and more of a bike path/service road and not very scenic. (a nice short cut though). The new path is longer but apparently very nice. Will do that next time!
Very important notes on logistics we didn't see anywhere online:
You have to get inside the Fundy Trail Parkway to the interpretive centre by car to register and start the hike. If you are leaving a vehicle on the St. Martins side, understand that its gated inside the Fundy Trail Parkway after they close the gates. Close times vary by season, go here to check it out:
fundytrailparkway.com
We luckily found www.bayoffundyadventures.com and Jordan from there was very helpful and drove us in for a fair rate so we could park our car outside the gate. It would have sucked getting back and having to wild camp on the side of the road if your car is inside the gate.
Camping the night before at www.centuryfarmcampground.com/... in St. Martins which was cheap and a great sleep in their cabins. They have power and a heater and a bed which was bueno.
Go get your gear at www.radicaledge.ca they know their stuff and have great products!

@@mikeamcgee haha you are not wrong ! i went and 'foolishly' (i say that with sarcasm, as i do not regret my decision) joined the navy, so getting time to go out and get back into multi day hiking shape is a challenge in it of it self. since joining in 2015, i have barely been in canada let alone able to hike lol. though things are looking like the stars are lining up to allow me more time here in canada to get some hiking done once again lol ^_^

How did you guys train/ prep for this? Thinking about doing it solo and looking for some advice!

Hi Mahta! Doing it solo would be really cool. Its so peaceful and quiet on the trail. For training we used some of the KZbin channel 'chase mountain' vids and did a lot of 'box steps' with full pack on. He also has good 'how to use trekking poles' vids. Keeping your pack weight minimal and good cardio is important too. For FFP specific info go to hikingnb.ca You can purchase a trail guide there too. For an overview of how hard the trail be can be check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4OmhIuIa7CgZtE for an informative and entertaining vid. For inspiration, you have to check out Kraig Adams on you tube for just awesome hiking vids! Let me know if you have any more questions, be happy to answer. Hope this helps, let us know how you make out!

Like the video with the exception of the language. No need to be using the "F" word so much. I am a hiker as well, but I have never heard such foul language being used when hiking and I have done some very rough trails.

Buddy Buddy Thanks! Glad you liked the video. Sorry about the language. We are a bit rough around the edges I guess.
